Best Deluxe Resort POLL

Lots of people ask what is the best resort is in each category (deluxe, moderate, etc.) I thought that it may be helpful to make a poll of every category and see what is everybody's favorite.

Please feel free to elaborate on your opinions by replying.

Wow. The results are really surprising so far. I expected there to be more votes for YC/BC and GF.

I voted for the Poly. I think it gives you the best transportation options, and is among the best in atmoshphere, views, restaurants and pools.

When we don't stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort, we stay at the Wilderness Lodge. The kids love the bunkbeds and the slide at the pool. We like the quiet atmosphere and the Whispering Canyon restaurant.

The Wilderness Lodge clearly wins. It has the best atomosphere for the best price and best everything and Whispering Canyon is the greatest to me that is a great value.

When I stay in something other than a deluxe, I always try to work in a trip to both the Polynesian and the Wilderness Lodge. Those would be my favorite two. I guess the Polynesian gets my vote over WL due to (1) 'Ohana over Whispering Canyon by a whisker for family dining (but does the Poly have an answer for Artists Pointe?); (2) monorail transportation over water taxi; (3) Wishes viewing on the Poly's beah versus WL's parking lot; and (4) I've always loved the pool at the Poly. Wilderness Lodge gets points for being less expensive while practically just as good, and for the awesome lobby, but I voted for the Poly.

WL is the best to me. It seems like you are out of the way, but you really are close to everything. You cannot beat the lobby. It takes you away from reality the moment you walk in and smell that unique WL scent. :)

i didn't vote because i have yet to stay at a deluxe resort (its a shame, i know ;)) but....if i had to choose, i think i would go with the laid back vibe of either the Poly or the Beach Club. both have an excellent proximety to the parks, and they both seem to have great dining and "down time" options. and you gotta love the pools at these resorts! i've seen pictures and they look fantastic!

i think we'll be hitting the Poly first (maybe for our 1st anniversary :D )

There are about 5 that are almost interchangeable, but with the Poly, you have easy monorail access to MK and Epcot, feel like you are in Hawaii, can walk to the GF spa, have a direct view of the MK at all times, and well, O'hana.

I voted for The Contemporary Resort because of it's proximity to The Magic Kingdom. and the fact that the Monorail runs though it.

Lots of great shops.
The Views are the best on property if you get a Tower room.

The theming at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge may be better but I feel isolated there and at the mercy of the busses and boats.

The Polynsian is also beautiful but as someone else mentioned, the longhouses aren't attached to the Great Ceremonial House and if it's raining you can get soaked. Way too much walking at this resort. I also don't care for the Gas smell when they light the Tiki torches at night there.

I have not stayed at any Boardwalk resorts or the Beach Club/Yacht Club.
Since EPCOT is my favorite Park I think we're gonna try the Beach Club on our next trip.
