Best WDW CD (IMHO) was the 1990 park CD - it did share with Disneyland, but with classics from EPCOT Center it was magical.

Best overall has to be Un Journee de Disneyland Paris (hows my French??) - filled with some superb audio.

For shear jelousy, check out TDL`s list - a CD for virtually every show and main attraction!

Now, as for unofficial CD`s.... :D

5. Music From The Park: This CD was released when WDW was 25 and includes some great never versions from the rides plus a hidden track from Illuminations: 25 (not sure if it is version A or B).

4. Music From Disney (Box Set 3 CDS): This Box Set is one masterpiece of its own, even if it need an update for a 4th CD. Comes with a Book of History plus each CD covers Movies, Cartoons, New Cartoons movies, and Parks with Classics as Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade, Small World, Golden Dreams, and others.

3. Illuminations: Millenium Celebration: The music is magic by itself. So to hear it with Tapestry of Nations (or of Dreams depending on the CD) is sublime.

2. Wishes! / Disney Wishes (Make a Wish): This 2 CDs are the other magical show in a park, just marvelous.

1. The Happiest Homecoming on Earth, Disneyland 50th: I know is not WDW but this collection is the BOMB! the mix is incredible, the musical pieces magic by them self. But if you like to have a magic day just pop thsi CD's in the player or better place them on your iPod and run the full experience of Disneyland and California Adventure in almost 3 hours on memory lane.

Runner up: Julie Andrews Selects Her Favorite Disney Songs: This CD is memory lane for those of us tha grew up on Disney movies. This collections is the movie and original version from the movies (and includes liner notes from Julie Andrews on each song, This Album is also available as a Download in iTunes.)

Disney should have a deal to have the Park Music and some of this CDs in thsi tread available to download.

Just got the WDW Exclusive 2-disc HCOE edition last month. Boy it brought back some memories. I recommend it for old schoolers.

What I'd really like though I don't know if it exists, are not just the theme songs but the audio walk-through narriation of the ride. That would be awesome. :)

So I really want the WDW Happiest Celebration 2 disc set that everyone says is so good. I am finding it on ebay for I think it was like 34 plus shipping. Is that a good price? How much are they selling it for in the park?? Thanks!

I love the Music From The Parks CD that was released during the 25th. When I used to live in NY, I would listen to that CD every day before school and reminisce about being back at Disney :)

Mine too!

I LOVE this soundtrack....i listen to it constantly!!

I bought the cassette of it in 2000 At Epcot and have played it weekly now since then it seems. I finally picked up a cd version of the same album when it went on sale at DisneyDirect.com and now play it all the time when i am on my computer.

Gee...as a matter of fact..i am listening to it right now!

Not park-relevant, but I bought the Finding Nemo soundtrack today.

It's really the only strictly instrumental soundtrack (from a movie, at least) that I would ever buy. I LOVE the music from that movie.

1- Millennium Celebration CD (white one)
2- Wishes
3- Magic in the Streets
4- Fantasmic
5- Spectro

That is all I have. But I have to say, my favorite Disney CD is the one I made of the Millennium celebration with the addition of the Pre-show music. I've listened to the HCOE cds in someones car and am thinking of getting it.

My favorite CD (though I don't own it :( ) is the park music during the Millennium Celebration. Something about the music that year just really struck a chord with me.

Next I would have to say IllumiNations, followed by Wishes at a close second.

That's the list I would use with some minor modifications.

1 - Millennium Celebration
2 - Fantasmic
3 - Magic in the Street
4 - Spectromagic
5 - Wishes
6 - Where the Magic Lives (Official WDW album 2004)

I've been listening to the Millennium Celebration CD since October 1999, and it never gets old. Disney's Instrumental Impressions deserves an honorable mention.

I agree with you completely. Not only is the 1990 CD one of the best, but unofficial CDs are even better. I've created CDs of almost every park (I'm still working on Disneyland...it's gonna be a monster) using Disney-released CDs, music acquired from various online sources (ie. Napster) for area background music, and attractions I've transfered to CD from my camcorder. I guess you could say it's Live 365 without the internet connection.

And I just can't wait to get the 6-CD Disneyland set (the 2-CD set is amazing enough). If I were a rich man...

So far, nothing can beat the DL 6 CD set IMO.

I second this, the six disc set from Disneyland is amazing. Sometime it's odd (since during a ride, it may stop at a character to listen to their whole spiel (rather than what you hear as you're moving by). But, wow...

In a close second would be the Millenium disc.
