First, let me apologize for highjacking this thread! :lol:

I spent 5 years in FWB & Grew up in Gulf Breeze!

I was there years ago before it was as built up as it is now.

Choctaw! Do they still have an awsome marching band?

Oh wow, very cool! I went to GB High and then moved to FWB right after graduating. I'm a Slow W grad lol :wave:

I loved living in NW FL, and although there were things I didn't like about it (which I won't go into here), I think that I'd go back in an instant if it weren't for certain family situations that prevent that right now. I'll bet it's changed a lot even since the last time I was there, though. So, I'd have to check it out first. But good times, good times. Do they still do Billy Bowlegs in the spring?

Oh yes, Billy Bowlegs is still going strong! To me, it seems Ft. Walton hasn't really changed a whole lot, but Destin is like a completely different town than it used to be.

He just works out of town right now...it is temporary, but we only see him on weekends, most of the time. I'm just tired of doing everything by myself! So hence the married "single" parent thing!

I have been throught that. I can really simpatize.
My DH used to travel a lot...so much that our DD wouldn´t want to stay with him when he came home (she was around 2 y)...he was so tired that he change for another job.

And I was soooo happy.

Another FWB'er here, went to FWBHS. Moved there cause of my dad in the military in '98. Still call it home. Just did four years in Gainesville at UF and now I'm up here in NYC going to grad school at Columbia but visit parents and friends (who are going to Slow W lol) all the time! Crazy to think we may have bumped into each other at some point!
