Beginnings of Tomorrowland Revamp?

It is amazing...When seen through the filter of the 90s it all looked dated to management...but now in retrospect we see it for the high quality forward thinking design it is... And really it is timeless... All the original WDW Tomorrowland buildings had a certain timeless futuristic quality to them... Shame to have lost so much of it....

Movie looks interesting. Now we will have to hear idiots walking through saying "This is nothing like the movie, so why did they call it Tomorrowland?"
Well at least Space Mountain is in the movie. Also, with the film's backstory starting with Jules Verne at the Exposition Universelle in Paris, I'd love an EO style revival of Timekeeper.

Movie's very much a thematic blend of the original forward-looking conceit of Walt's and the "Honoring the visionaries of the past" conceit of the Discoveryland-based lands.

I believe this film could open the door for that if it meets any sort of pirates level success. The real factor is if it will, and if it manages to do that I could see the concept for a tomorrowland redo come about.
I'm anxious to see the movie. It's already on the schedule for our "kid-less date-night" for May for my wife and I. I know we've been talking about/hearing about a Tomorrowland movie for a decade now. I'm curious to see if the movie is set up to allow for a fanchise, and to see if TWDC is going to be willing to put the money into funding a franchise that isn't Frozen or Pirates.

Correct, it's at Tokyo DisneySea. However, most people, call the parks overseas "Disneyworld Paris, Disneyworld Japan, it's not their correct name of course, but how the average person refers to them.

eh....i'm pretty sure this isn't true....

That's what I thought. With a solid TL refurb, MK would be in great shape considering all the other additions and improvements we have seen. Let's hope this is in the works and that the movie provides the extra boost to make this a reality.

Maybe this is why the delay of SM maintenance? I doubt it but it would be awesome for a TL reboot.

It's possible. It just seems as though everything is building up to a TL reboot which would include a SM refurb, I guess it's just all a question of when?

Ok so let's think about this are they able to do this and still operate this section of the park? It needs major works would they be able to do it like mainstreet while the area is in use?

If not no way they close the section but part of me just does not believe they would unveil the exterior in stages.... but maybe they did do the TTA already....

"We’re doing a little cosmetic surgery on TOMORROWLAND in the Disney parks. We’re starting small… trashcans first!"

It is absolutely true. The only people that would know their official park names without looking it up are hardcore Disney fans. If you ask the average person on the street about the Disney park in Japan and what it's named, they would say "Disneyland Japan" or something similar WAY before they would say the actual name.

The name of their park is Disneyland. The only Disney World is ours... Which is why its more likely that all other countries refer to their park's as Disneyland instead of "Disney world". Which is why I don't believe you.

I think you are confused on what I was referring to. I was saying the average person would not know the official name of the Disney parks in Japan, so they most likely would refer to it as "Disneyland Japan" or something to that effect, as opposed to calling it "Tokyo Disney Sea".
