@marni1971 Since we're discussing TRON, do you know what they were planning for the TRON Exhibit that was planned to go into Epcot around 1983? I never heard details about what it was planned to be.

It was an interactive video arcade. Less standard arcade games, more custom built attractions. I'd loosely liken it to a Project Tomorrow:

The space was used for temporary exhibitions until 1988 when Expo Robotics opened.

Even thought I'm not interested in the Tron coaster from Shanghai coming over as I don't think it is that great (style over substance) my biggest concern is that it would require a huge show-building that based on Shanghai would be a massive box. I couldn't foresee TDO spending money on an well designed show building like Space Mountain anymore.

I know, watching Martin's SSE video, I said to myself there's no way they would do an engineering marvel that also housed a complex attraction like that today. (Although it looks like they're creating an engineering marvel as a façade for Pandora.)

Tomorrowland paint and all is great but we need attractions.... I am going of my annual trip in a few weeks and I can honestly say I am not as excited as normal.

To many things are being slow rolled and I think even if stuff was announced I would be more excited.... Just dreading if they decide to hold off on stuff again.

Which is sad considering Walt Disney Productions was a relatively smaller company then.

Personally, I would build a WALL-E Attraction on the Speedway site and theme it to a B-n-L Warehouse so that it has an excuse to look like a big box and shove a copy into the CoP/Innoventions building at Disneyland and Monsters Inc. in Tokyo..
I even have a rendering of the queue ready. Please excuse my lack of artistic skills.

Here is the Tokyo Monsters Inc. Queue for reference.

I have a dedicated thread on this concept in the "Imagineer" section of this board.
