Looking at pics of Beast's Castle going up. My daughter asked if you'll be able to see Beast's & Cindy's from Main St. Does anyone know how tall Beast's will be?

I saw a picture of a construction worker working on Beast's Castle and the castle was ways smaller than I thought it was.

It just goes to show how amazing Disney is with perspective magic!

With the rock work and to scale foliage it will work wonderfully. I always thought having a little bit of fog dancing on the spires would add to the illusion of scale but it would be a nightmare to maintain.

Can't wait to see this area done it is looking visually beautiful.

Wow! I thought it would have been WAY larger. I knew that it couldn't topple Cinderella's, since she is the main show, but still.... I am not sure if I like how tiny it is either!

I compare it to the Eiffel Tower in France @ WS. It looks huge and far away but it is neither. Beast's castle will not be approachable with all the rock, vegetation, water feature's, etc., so it will have the same effect of being huge and far away. Wait for the final result before worrying too much. It should be amazing!

BTW, welcome to the forums.:)

Yeah, fog and mist aren't exactly Disney's specialty at maintaining, but I also like the idea!

I almost wish we couldn't see this part being built as it is a little weird without everything around it being finished. I'm sure it will look amazing once complete!

Sure, the illusion of size is ruined when you see someone next to it, but trust me, in person you can't really tell. It looks WAY bigger than it really is. They've done a fantastic job.

I am going to trust the Disney magic that the Beast's Castle will be awesome...
I was a little bummed when I saw how small it was too...
Is Ariels or better yet Eric's Castle going to be the same in scale? I really have trouble understanding building plans for anything much less major attractions! I had a hard time believing our house layout was going to work:)

It's just another forced perspective illusion. The upper levels of Cinderellas's Castle are scaled down considerably to give the illusion of greater height. In fact, Cinderella's Castle is a little under 200 feet tall but looks much taller.
