Ok, so my wife and I will be heading to the World in 18 days :)sohappy:) and we have considered going to eat at Beaches & Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club. I have read a lot about the mountain of ice cream that they call the Kitchen Sink that is available to order and I think I may want to try it. Has anyone ordered it? How was it? Did you finish it? How many people were with you that helped you eat it? Thanks!

Are you going to try this by yourself, or are you bringing in some help? This thing is huge. We've done it twice, once with 5 people and finished the whole thing, the next time there were 4 of us and we left some of it behind. It really was good, but it starts melting pretty fast and the closer to the bottom you get, the heavier it gets.

Two people couldn't not finish it , if even eat half of it. I would love to try it but it would be a waste, my BF loves his food but even he would struggle.

Maybe you could loiter there with a spoon in hand and wait for someone else to order it and then join their table!:lookaroun

It's really good but we couldn't finish it and there were 5 of us!

whats in it

It's 8-10 scoops of ice cream with every topping they carry (everything from standards like sprinkles and hot fudge to angel food cake and candy bars), and a whole can of whipped cream. The specific flavors and toppings can be customized.

On our "must do" list for our upcoming trip. . .there will be 10 of us. Although, one claims he will be ordering his own . . .so it may just be 9 of us. Check Youtube for videos of them making it. . .it's pretty insane!

There are four of us and we couldn't finish it either. We tried our best, but there is just way too much stuff in there. Here is a before shot:

Oh man! What a challenge for 2 people! 2 people can not do it though. It is nearly impossible with 4 people! It is truly the Kitchen Sink!

With the amount of time it would take two people to get through it, I think you may get a lot of "ice cream soup." Having done it with four or five people and not finishing it, I would have to say that two would be almost impossible.

Looks gross, but good. We will def be doing that on our next trip. :slurp:
I'm guessing you can customize your flavors, too. I am glad to see there werebowls to scoop it out into, too.

You can, indeed. I hate mint, so the two times we attempted it, I asked for it to be left out and substituted for another flavor. I knew the ice cream would just melt together after a while, and I didn't want it "tainted" with mint chocolate chip.

The first time we tried it, someone in our party was allergic to almonds so they left them out. The second time, someone didn't like whipped cream so they left it off. They literally brought us an entire can of whipped cream since it was included ("a whole can!") and the rest of us wanted it. :)

The entire sundae is completely customizable - just ask your server.

Oh, and both times we attempted it, we failed (5 people in our party each time). Once it turns to "soup" it's not as appetizing.

When I was down there for the Wine and Dine Half-Marathon, I ordered it the following evening. Out of my entire group, I was the only one willing to try it. I can say proudly that I was able to finish the whole thing myself.
