Beach Club rates

Booking for a trip in February. We are headed down for a conference and have the Beach Club available to us for $233 per night. Seems pretty reasonable to me, but we almost always stay at a Value, so I have no real point of reference.

What are the chances that an AP rate (once it is released) would beat that?

Thanks!

What view is that rate for? I'd go to the .com and quote a room-only rack rate stay for the same dates you are considering. You can always switch to a better discount if one becomes available. I hope the weather is nice for y'all. Stormalong Bay is da bomb!!!

The BIG deals at Yacht/Beach are usually 209/night, 219/night, or 234/night. So you are right on par with what is typically one of the biggest discounts!

We just returned from Yacht Club TODAY, and it remains our absolute favorite Disney Resort, easily.

Thanks guys!

I went online and did a 'test' with the AP discount for similarly priced nights in October and it was $259 with the AP discount, so we went ahead and booked at $233. I'll run the numbers again if the AP discount increases to 40% (instead of the 35% that is right now.)

Glad to hear good things about the yacht club! I will be going end of October but only for a long weekend and it will be my first time staying at the yacht club! Can't wait!

Yacht Club is one if not my wife's and I favorite.... Well maybe second to the Grand Floridian.. But if you have been during Christmas you will understand.... The smell of the lobby area during Christmas is amazing.... I have never smelled such a cheery holiday scent like that ever!!! When we go during Christmas we make it a point to eat at one of our fave, Yachtmans Steakhouse not only cus the food is outstanding but to soak up the tranquility of the lobby and that wonderful Christmas smell!!!!! I need to ask them what the heck do they do!!! Just sit, or stand and watch the little railroad they put up for Christmas, either way it's amazing!!!!

Yacht n Beach Club... Hands down the best resorts on property. Best Ammenities there

That's a matter of opinion.

Yacht Club has been voted the worst Deluxe Resort by the readers of the Unofficial Guide now for 3 straight years. We stayed there 2 years ago and wouldn't go back either. Beach Club is a different story.

And that is NUTS to us; we will never return to Beach Club to stay there. It ranks at the bottom of the barrel. Not as a result of CMs, they were incredible.

Yacht Club all the way.

Funny how that happens.

I've yet to stay at Beach Club. This is just what the book has said the past few years. We decided to stay at the YC because the "Official" guide calls it the best Deluxe. Of course, that's the book that Disney publishes. We were so disappointed, we left after 5 nights and went to the Poly.

Paid for a water view, and got a crap side view of the lake. We asked to be moved, and were moved to the last room at the end of the building, with a smaller balcony. We had a package sent down that they wouldn't get for us, but made me walk to the Business Center to get by myself, and wouldn't even give me a cart to lug it back to the room with. This is minor, but still annoying - We'd get back in a taxi and they didn't open the doors or say "Welcome Back". I wouldn't expect that at a Value or Moderate, but for the price of that place, it'd be nice.

It's all matter of opinion.... I would never stay at Beach club... It has been mayhem every single time I have walked in there.... Kids running around all over the place, loud as heck.... Just not willing to pay that much money for that... For that you stay at Pop Century.... I definitely think Beach Club is WAY overrated...

Captainkid, AGREED. That is very unacceptable.

I too would be upset:
-if my lake view were oblique lake view.
-no help with package
-no taxi welcoming
-standing only balcony

For each and every trip, our lagoon view was always full frontal with a full balcony. The one time it wasn't, we were promptly moved. Also, each time we took a taxi last weekend, we were greeted by a CM opening the door to welcome us home.

EST1971--YES, the Beach Club is constantly filled with screaming kids and chaos. It's a pain walking through their lobby, especially in the mornings and evenings!

I guess that's all a matter of bad luck. We've stayed at Beach club and it was fine. Got a good room with good location. And it wasnt loud at all. We've stayed at Yacht Club and we got a complimentary upgade to a water view and it was awesome location and CM's are always great to us ... At both Y and B clubs. Can't go by guides, or you can't judge a place by 1 trip. I'm sure everyone here can name a horror trip or two. I can't judge a place if it's loud. It's WDW. It's full of families... With Kids. Now if you are next to a room with loud screaming kids keeping you up at night or really making your stay in your room a nightmare... Then kindly ask a CM to be moved and they will be more then happy to help you. As for the lobby, well kids are kids. I'm only 28, I have no kids. But they dont bother me. I typically know that most kids are out of control these days because those parents have no control over them. Just listen to how these kids talk to their parents. If I talked or yelled at my parents like these kids do... WHEW! lol. But you're in a kid friendly resort... It will typically be loud everywhere.

Thats a great rate. We just returned from BCV on a cash reservation. We paid approx $225 before taxes for a studio and got upgraded to a 1BR on the ground floor at BCV. Wonderful stay and a close walk to Epcot.
Upgrades are rare, so we were really happy. Our dates were 9/28 to 10/1 before we moved over to Pop for the rest of our stay.

Does anyone know if the Yacht Club has a grab & go place like the beach club for breakfast? I see that the beach club has a marketplace where I could grab a yogurt parfait for breakfast but I am not seeing anything like that for the yacht club. I see sit down places and we would prefer to grab something small and just head to the parks rather than a sit down breakfast.

In the lobby, Compass & Ale serves bagels, pastries, and light breakfast offerings. There is nothing like the Marketplace over on the Yacht Club side.

Walking to the Marketplace from even the most remote Yacht Club location isn't bad at all. The common areas between the Resorts are mostly covered and very pretty. To make it even shorter, (depending on room location) cut out of the Resort through a stairwell and walk outside on the promenade towards Beach Club, and then walk inside towards MarketPlace.

Avoid the zigzagging hallways, you'll walk further than you need to.
