Be Our Guest Restaurant

I have to say I'm very very excited about this weekend's announcements. One thing in particular that I'm ecstatic about is the Be Our Guest Restaurant.

While looking at the concept art, (http://www.attractionsmagazine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/9.jpg) it really stuck out to me how Lumiere was on shown top of the food cart.

Perhaps this restaurant will feature living characters ala Chefs de France with Remy? Very plausible that we'll see a life-size Lumiere as well as other BatB friends coming to visit each table, riding on such carts.

Just speculation, but it seems to look that way. Would be very cool to see as well :D

I apologize if this has already been brought up, but I haven't seen it mentioned on the boards.

I hope I can get a Reservation when it opens! It looks amazing. My daughters are excited for VotLM ride and area. It looks just like the movie!

All I can say is Thank You to management for another sit down restaurant. Right now I pity those that don't make reservations 180 days out. Not to be greedy but how about Jack Sparrow and a Pirate restaurant in the old Adventureland Verrandah space now? I'd definately drop some dollars there.

I'm sure making reservations will be a nightmare, especially if the Disney Dining Plan kinks aren't worked out :lookaroun

I was thinking the same exact thing... had even mentioned it to a couple of people! That is definitely my theory as well and it will be very cool if it happens.

I was in line to Pixie Hollow a few weeks ago and there was a woman next to me yelling into her cell phone at (I assume) her husband. She was at her wits end because they had used all their CS credits early in the week and were now scrambling t find a TS place in the MK. She saw me sort of watching her, and she turned my way and said "How can they only have three places to eat table service in this entire park"

For the record, I suggested somthing on the monorail loop, but those were all booked as well.

That idea was mentioned... but doesn't hurt to discuss it again!:animwink:

I actually got to see Remy on his last couple of days! Very cool to see in person and very life like (almost a little scary)! My kids thought it was awesome. I thought it was such a nice touch to the restaurant! I like character meals but they can get a little crazy - I feel like I spend more time taking pictures and getting autographs then I do eating! Our dinner in Chefs de France was so relaxing and Remy was just the highlight of the meal.

If this is the idea that they're going with in the Be Our Guest restaurant then I'll be booking an ADR for sure!

So, how are they going to have a restaurant that is CS by day but TS by night? How will that work? Do we have a restaurant on property that does this now - I can't think of one myself at the moment? I would assume that the menu would change!?! I wonder would it be family style or an actual menu?

Hello...we are three years away from making reservations for this...:dazzle:

I'm sure we will all be making reservations using only the PC or our cell phones by then...I don't think this will be any worse than making reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table. If you aren't making a reservation 90 or 180 days out...whatever it is now...you aren't getting in.

This will be a restaurant I plan to eat at once on my first trip I have planned after the restaurant opens. I am sure it will be a tough place to get ressies but I will get up early and make the call.

This place is going to have 552 tables...wow that's big.

The park and Fantasyland in particular really need it. Cindy's is only 130 which is incredibly small. This is very, very much needed both for capacity reasons and for people who want some place besides Tony's to get a decent dinner at MK without foam character heads (or in the case of LTT paying for characters without getting them).

I wonder what the 3rd room could be? Maybe the Dining Room from the movie since the Ballroom and West Wing are taken and the Library is elsewhere. As I said in another thread I hope we get connecting hallways with suits of armour who's heads turn as you walk by.

Of course I am just repeating what we agree on. That they do need more sit down places to eat.

But I am so excited about this, I cannnot wait to see the out come, this is one that you wait to find out when the reveal date is and plan to be there!!:sohappy:

I'm so pysched about the restaurant! It makes total sense. Wouldn't it be cool if they somehow incorporated dancing with in the restaurant too? Like in the movie. I'm such a sucker for sappy romance:)

I've always wondered why they don't have something similar to the Blue Bayou from DL at the PoTC in WDW. Being able to actually sit down and eat INSIDE the ride is pretty cool and the food was pretty good, too. The San Angel in Mexico at Epcot is kind of similar but it ain't PoTC.

While roving anamatronics are neat, I would prefer that if they have something like that, to make them permanent fixtures that periodically "come to life" or can have a manual override for direct interaction...more like Adventurer's club. The congestion that would be caused by entry of these guys or regular characters negatively impacts dining. It appears that there are character meet and greet areas associated with each of these locations, let them stay there.

This new resteraunt looks like a really cool place to eat at. I hope the food will be as good as it's looks. I also see this resteraunt could do a few skits while serving dinner as well. Can't wait.
