Bummer.

Glad to know it wasn't a Disney resort (just reassuring). Hope you filed a police report.

yeah Sheriff Johnstone came, filled, and contacted travel insurance, might buy replacement here rather than in UK so much cheaper

CAREFUL - you'll need to declare these items when re-entering the UK and will have to pay duty (so that doesn't make them all that cheaper). If you don't declare them and get caught..................

Sorry to hear about the dreadful ending to your holiday

What a shock for you, this is the first time I've heard of anyone being burgled ... we've stayed in Davenport 4 times and have always felt that the villa complexes were so safe.:(

Be careful if you buy replacement mains electrical items there - they are likely to only work on 110v, the UK is at 230v. If you can, check the specs before buying to see if the voltage input is 110v only or 110v-230v

thought U were gonna say "careful" about something else. I was just going to say CAREFUL about where u buy it from down there... I wouldn't go to the the little tourist shops.

Sorry to hear that. Did they enter through a sliding patio door?

I am so sorry that had to happen to you - when I hear of things like this happening to visitors to our country, it always makes me feel bad, and sort of embarrassed. On a recent trip to Vegas, my DD's BF from N. Ireland had his credit card scammed at the hotel. It was a nightmare getting everything straightened out (not to mention a small fortune in international toll calls.) I hope verything works out well for you, and please remember, not all Americans are ignorant pigs.

I wanted to say as others have said, I am sorry to hear about you being burglarized. That is a really terrible thing to happen to you. I hope everything works out for you. Maybe your iPod will explode on the thiefs ;)
