Thanks, guys! That is what happens when you sit at home for 9 months with no job. Ha!

Guess now I have nothing left to do but sit and wait.

Erika, do you do murals for other people? As a job I mean, not just for fun? :p

Holy Cow Erika! That is amazing... how much would you charge to bring your crew to S.C. and redo my nursery? ;) That is just incredible! What a wonderful place to spend time with your new little person... talk about a Disney fan from the start! It is just beautiful! You are one talented lady! :)

I did some, for fun, for friends/coworkers in Chicago and had thought about starting something up out here, since I wasn't going to continue with my dental assisting; but then this baby thing happened a bit sooner than I thought it would! And I want to stay home with her. :)

Great job Erika. Did you draw by eye, grid or OHP?

Everything is freehand except the volcano/pyramid thing, because those little patterns were giving me a headache. I used a projector for that.

Even more fantastic!

I have enough trouble making something look like on a sheet of paper, never mind on a wall.

Believe it or not it is easier to do with paint than with a pencil. You can work through the shapes instead of trying to do everything linear- just build as you go along, if that makes any sense.

Guess I've not done enough big work to get the hang of it. In the stage groups we have a fantastic artist, but he always uses an OHP.

She is here! 6 lbs, 6 oz. Shot out of there so fast there was no time for drugs! OWWWWWWW OW OW OW! But hooray for speedy deliveries. I was not even in the birthing room for a half hour before she was in my arms. Few minutes of bad contractions, 9 minutes of actual delivery and there she was! Screaming so loudly that the people in the next room thought we had a toddler with us. :o They couldn't believe it was a newborn making all that noise.

We named her Kara Grace.

Here she is at maybe 1/2 hour old.

Erika, she's gorgeous! And so tiny! Congrats to the three of you! Hopefully she's done with all the crying... :p
But we gotta get her and Pete together for some Pooh's Playful Spot action.

Congrats and Welcome Kara Grace (baby PhD's middle name is Grace too!)

That was so not a 1st baby delevery! (more like a 2nd or 3rd, you must be a pro and not know it) or at least baby Kara is!

So happy for your family. Enjoy!
