The baby's furniture just arrived: craddle, closet and dresser, the only one of the three that came already assembled (although still boxed). That's a good thing, since we need a place to put away all the diapers and clothes friends and family are already giving him! The rest we'll wait untill December or January to have put together, specially since Julia still has to figure out what she wants for the walls and all...
Well, pics:

Hey, guys! Just a little update. After a few minor complications, the baby is due February 8th. We're both becoming increasingly nervous, to the point where we're having trouble sleeping at night. But hopefully it'll all be good.
I added some pics to my album of Pete's bedroom all ready and waiting for him, and a before and after shot of Julia. I don't know if you'll be able to tell from these pics, but the wallpaper is Mickey and the gang... :p

Wow!! Getting close! Thanks for the update. I'm sorry you've had some complications and I hope everything goes well from here on out.

I have 7 weeks left and I am getting miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighty impatient...

OMG The before and afters are hysterical! However, she's "all baby" as they say, and looks like one of those who will be back to the "before" in no time.

Good luck!

I would have to agree with that. She all ALL BABY! Pretty amazing what a few short months can do. I wish you both luck and blessings. :)

Erika, how are you doing? 7 weeks, could be any day now or over 2 months! (Little PhD was born on her due date, Baby a week early.) I felt like I got away with something with baby, the last week is the hardest.

I am not suprized! Actually I think my Doc "pushed" things along both times. Both times the baby was born with in 48 hours of an examination.

She looks terrific in BOTH pictures! (...and both of them were taken on a beach...*sigh*...)

Keep us posted, you guys!

I just can't wait to meet her!!!

Our doctor let us have a 3D ultrasound a few weeks ago, so we had a chance to watch her goofing around in there. John was dying to do it and what a great experience for the father-to-be, who probably feels pretty left out of most things. The process is the same as a traditional ultrasound (in fact, they switch back and forth between the two on the screen) but the images are processed differently. It was pretty funny; she slept, she smiled, she drank amniotic fluid, she sucked on her hand... all in the span of a very short amount of time. A lot of people are freaked out by those pictures so please don't click if you are one of them. But if you are curious, they are here.

Well, he's here! Everything went well, he was born Tuesday afternoon, 6:47 PM measuring 18.5 inches and weighing 6.8 pounds. We got back from the hospital yesterday and both Pete and Julia are doing great. Pete's wonderful, he sleeps really well, and wakes up for feeding and changing every 3 hours or so. I'll post pictures soon!

Psht, yeah, my husband wanted it to be a surprise yet he was the one who wanted the 3D so badly. I said OK, if we are going to see the face, what's left of the surprise? Tell me the gender too!

In hindsight I am really REALLY glad we did it because she is still transverse (sideways) and at least we know it doesn't appear to be for any scary reason (abnormalities)- she's simply just comfortable that way. Like laying in a hammock. Takes after Mom :king:

*impatiently awaits Roddy's pictures*
