There were surprisingly zero kids at my showing, which is why I was curious. Given how popular some of the characters who died were with kids that age, I can’t imagine the questions some might be having.

$39 Million domestic gross last night (highest ever for a superhero film), forecast to make between $225-$245 Million over the weekend.
I calculate Disney is now at approximately 953.3 million after the Thursday box office and preview numbers from Avengers. adding 46.7 after 39 in preview Thursday seems like almost a certainty. In fact, some are expecting a "pure" Friday box office (one such story about "pure" Friday I found interesting at least - https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottm...-box-office-record-it-may-break/#543b0ae74b97). Note - I did estimate the numbers for Black Panther, Coco and Wrinkle in Time from yesterday since those numbers have not been officially published yet.

We are going tonight at 6:00 but I might have been spoiled by my 7-year-old! Apparently, his friend Robbie saw the movie last night and told him some stuff. My son was proudly telling me some info when I cut him off.
That's exactly why I'll never have children!!!

Honestly I have never understood why some people do this. I get that they’re kids and don’t know any better, but my sister (who is 24 now) will give people the entire plots of films if they simply ask “So what was it about?”

Got my ticket to see Infinity War a second time (in IMAX!) on Sunday. Can't wait.

The spoilers I saw (limited)...honestly won’t affect what I think of the movie either way...
If it’s put together semi coherently for marvel...and has character moments...it will be good.

Closest IMAX to me is 60 minutes away, so I'm going to have to ask some friends nicely if I want to go see it (and not as a solo venture). Enjoy though

We relocated last year for work and ended up about 10 minutes from a nice IMAX theater. Before we were 2 hours away from one. So nice to have the option available.Closest IMAX to me is 60 minutes away, so I'm going to have to ask some friends nicely if I want to go see it (and not as a solo venture). Enjoy though

My son is 7 and he liked the first 3rd and the last 3rd. My daughter who is 9, HATED it! She liked Black Panther and Thor:3 but doesn't really like any of the other movies. It was definitely darker but neither of them were that upset about any of the characters fates. They are too smart to the way movies work. I don't want to say any spoilers here so I won't say any more.

And that total is without China and Russia. If it had those two it would have easily been over $700 million.
Face it, the movie is great and Disney knocked it out of the park, its trending to make over a billion in under a week. My local cinema has been open until early morning and they have been packed. Its just like the Force Awakens only this time the movie is actually good.
Its going to give Avatar a run, its locked to make 2 billion easy, how much more will be amusing to watch.
