The whole ending sequence was pure gold. We even finally saw Peter activate instant kill lol.
It’s so much stuff that I know I missed and forgot I have to go and go some more.

Still, we are getting this!

There was discussion about this when Infinity War came out last year, but they should have kept Thanos’ original motivation for wiping out the universe from the comics; to please the goddess of death. A child who suffered abuse on Titan from disfigurement who would continue the cycle on his own “children” and the universe to receive what he believes to be some semblance of acceptance.

MCU Thanos is such a weird character who’s primary character development is his relationship with his “daughters” and that’s about it. Thanos was the protagonist of IW, and has a defined arc within it, yet the “universe is overpopulated” bit doesn’t feel convincing. I’ve seen some complaints here and elsewhere about him in Endgame, but he works so much better as an obstacle than as a real character.

“I am inevitable v. I am Iron Man” works in the moment, but it could have been a much more powerful refutation.

I assume Loki isn’t dead and will now come back after he stole the Tesseract and disappeared after Tony and Steve altered time?
Leading into the Loki Disney + show. There’s also a show about Falcon and Winter Soldier which we now also know what will be about.

Guess I’ll disagree here. He was great in IW and just became a generic bad guy in this.

I found this one funny... re Nubula

What is going on, and how does that make any sense? I've interpreted it as if all of Nebula's memories are stored in something similar to Apple's iCloud, which is unfortunate for the Avengers. Nebula in 2014 is more machine than human. Thanos has basically ripped her apart and rebuilt her with robotic parts. When Nebula goes back in time from 2023, she unexpectedly syncs up with other self.

Still confused? It's like when you buy a new iPad or phone and you're able to download all your content from the cloud. It makes sense, but it's awfully convenient to keep the plot moving along.

I don't agree with alot in this article.. but it's a fun read - https://www.thisisinsider.com/avengers-endgame-unanswered-questions-2019-4

And Gamora? She gone forever or did they keep the Gamora from the past when they went back and they’re taking her forward in future films?

I thought that once taken by the soul stone, your gone forever?

Not sure if he was generic. He definitely was a bad guy though. He wanted to take his frustrations out on Earth. They spoiled his plans. In his eyes it was perfect and that was the thanks he got!? It was spot on in my opinion.

Overall a very solid film, pretty impressed.

While some reviews I saw said the first act was boring, I actually found the character moments and slow scenes to be the highlight of the film. They did they best they could wrapping up as many storylines as possible from this Infinity Saga.

Really my big gripe was I felt that several aspects of the final battle were rushed and disjointed. The Infinity War fight scenes, for example on Titan, were much better designed and choreographed. It was great to see everyone there at once, but the battle scene was too chaotic for much of anything productive team wise. Would have liked to see Captain Marvel, Dr Strange, etc unite with the original Avengers in a plan but since Thanos' army was already there everyone was mostly doing their own thing and would happen to run into each other in battle rather than already be together.

The Hulk and Thor transformations were both unexpected but I actually really enjoyed it -- Thor is a leader through strength but he isn't a 'ruler' -- he never led the Avengers he was their muscle so him joining the Guardians really felt natural to me and makes me more excited for GotG Vol 3. Hulk/Banner embracing more of the science role was also something that could build for future installments.

Will also be interesting to see what happens in Far From Home with half of Peter's class aged 5 years, unless schools just stopped after the snap.

Most powerful being we've seen in the universe... yet stoneless-Thanos is still able to best her... while same Thanos is bested by human super heros...
This didn't happen....CM and Thanos only interacted twice. First was on Titan and he was severely injured, all she did was choke-hold him. Second was in the final battle as she was carrying the gauntlet, fight was pretty even, with her having the slight upper hand, until Thanos grabbed the power stone out of the gauntlet and used it to blast her away.

So.. like I said... Thanos bested her. She didn't really achieve any better success then those puny super heros...

No, you said he was stoneless, but he wasn't. As I said she had the slight upper hand before he grabbed the power stone. And before this interaction she took out his entire mothership.

So a stoneless Thanos manages to steal the powerstone from Captain Marvel and uses it to beat her. It's still a stoneless Thanos that pulled that off

Taking one of my friends tonight. I won’t be sitting next to him. I don’t want him to see a grown man cry.

I don’t know how Marvel moves on honestly.

I think in a way Disney is admitting that they are reigning it in/downsizing.

It’s the politics of Hollywood. They are combating JSS in a cost control move.
I remember rumors that the Russos weren’t really interested in putting her in the movie at all but were almost made to.

After seeing the movie I think that may be true. They gave her the absolute bare minimum.

Sure seems so...she was forced

When Sam said, “On your left!” My theater went nuts and so did I! That was such a good pay off. Wakanda coming in. OMG I am ready to see it again. Just not really ready to see my boy Tony die again.

Ok...I can’t resist here.

This is what Star Wars is missing...except rogue one...
Everybody loves a charge/reinforcements. The two rohirrim charges in LOTR are the best sequences of the whole thing.

There’s nothing wrong with weenies that always work. That’s what memories are made of - the familiar and the uplifting

Not only do I love Strange...but Asgard being brought from genocide was a gut wrench for me.
