So whats Disney's plan regarding Black Panther for the land? Will he have a big presence due to how popular he is? Also does Disney have plans in case other franchises like the Fantastic Four and Eternals are very popular they could add them to the land?
They revealed that we will be boarding the Quinjet that will bring us to Wakanda for the most epic battle of our lives. Unfortunately, that's all we got for now though. If this coincides with the next Black Panther release, I'd imagine the whole land to a lot of Black Panther representation. The other two won't show up for a while I'd imagine outside of meet and greets.

Thanks for the response! That's awesome news for Black Panther! I hope someday a Disney park builds a Wakanda land. I would love to see the Fantastic Four get a big presence in the parks if the movie does well.

See, that's the problem though. "Fun" is 100% subjective and can't truly be measured by just one simple scale.

Personally, I don't find anything "fun" about Chase a Baby (Incredicoaster to the uninitiated), and would honestly
rather go on something like Spaceship Earth a hundred times over. Likewise, I'm sure there are a good percentage of
folks who would dread a day spent at Epcot, period.

Disney certainly does have the unenviable task of trying to make something fun for everyone. Ultimately though, they can't
win every battle. And at some level I feel like Disney is OK playing the demographic game. They know that not every
single person who passes through the entrance gates is going to ride every single ride, but since they already have your ticket
money, they also probably don't care.

They’re a world class vacation destination with more money than God, and they’re developing things like Emotional Whirlwind and Pixar Pier. Meanwhile opening new “must do” lands, with rides that can’t seem to drum up any interest at all. They couldn’t get any more lazy if they tried. They’re skating by on the creativeness and talent of decades old attractions. Imagine taking Disney of old and pitting it against the new Disney in separate theme parks. No contest. Sure they’ll never please everyone, but they don’t seem to be trying to please anyone at this point.

They're trying to please their shareholders... :)

Also please don't think I'm being supportive of their recent behavior. Believe it or not, I agree with you 100%. I can't honestly think of the last thing Disney created that truly got me excited enough to even want to try and experience it during opening week. But I also realize I am just a person in a small minority of park-goers (namely us on this forum) who feels that way.

It pains me to no end that we have a braindead CEO and Parks Chairman who are so creatively blind that they can't see beyond the concept of just throwing Disney characters onto every square inch of the parks, as though that is what makes them so enjoyable.

I don’t know about you, but if I was a shareholder, I’d be pretty P’d that all of their apparent “slam dunks” have been snore fests. 😉

Wow, it's like Galaxy's Edge...except somehow it already sounds a million times more obnoxious. Can't wait to ask secret SHIELD agent Speckled Bull where the Spider-man plushes are.

My friends are already making jokes about being locked in a room and being told to escape but just end up smashing the door while pretending to be the Hulk.

I’m worried Spider-Bots: Spider-Man’s Midway Mania Journey will be a little too intense. I wish Red Logo Superhero Land had a nice Zamperla flat ride with a very expensive, somehow way more expensive, skin with my favorite Red Logo heroes on it for all of us and the kids, please think of the little children who are the true original focus of DisneyPark California, who can’t go on the intense rides.

Why aren't you a shareholder? Buy a few shares for the kids. It's at about $144 right now. Maybe skip this year's vacation and spend it on stock?

That ride mechanism looks crazy! I wonder how it will be implemented since I think they showed off everyone seated inside of a Quinjet before the ride portion of the attraction begins. My best guess right now would be a Soarin' type of screen just outside the jet, having you seated and then a simulated take off. At some point you are "dropped out" from the jet (maybe accomplished by the faux jet rising up towards the ceiling?) and the seats would break apart into a kind of spider-leg type formation in front of the screen. But I don't know, just guessing, each rider can't have their own screen, right? I imagine that wouldn't make for a smooth transition when seated next to others just moments before.. or be good for capacity.

In general, the new area isn't doing all that much for me right now, especially if the Spider-Man ride ends up being a Midway Mania clone. But I do like the idea of the stunt animatronic Spider-Man and looking forward to hearing more about their big Wakanda E-Ticket. I'll probably give it a go once it's all done and reserve final judgement 'till then.
