It won’t change the ride experience. I said that. It won’t do much for us here but it will help to change the perception of some of the general public.
I understand your point, but at the end of the day, the ride is what counts. You can dress up the exterior of Navi River Ride with all the waterfalls you want and the ride still sucks. If this ride is Midway Mania with spiders as the artwork is showing, the general public will not be kind.

I have a feeling the general public will like it more than you think. Especially the ones who have never been on Spiderman in Florida which is the majority. At worst I expect a lukewarm reaction by the GP.

I hope so, but am skeptical like most here. The ride took what, one year to build (sans the existing building). Man that’s crazy fast by Disney standards. That universal Spider-Man ride is strong as is her clone ride transformers. If it comes down to comparing, Disneys Spidey probably losses. I’m sure Disney knows this and also knows they need to come strong on this land after the larger than expected negative vibe on GE, and less than expected crowds. The live entertainment must not only deliver and be vast, but continue to deliver. On a side note that doc strange show better not include a rabbit or a woman getting sawed in half.

So this photo shows what I assume would be attachment points for the cable launch in the hands, so I guess that system hasn't changed. Still have not seen any mechanisms added to crane, just decorative elements.

There actually is already a cable that runs from the crane down to the area where the launch point will be. looks identical to the cable used in the test videos

Yeah. That cable was added in the latest Yensid video which clarified. It doesn’t come from the fake crane head/cable connector but more towards the underside mid section.

It’s worth pointing out that Spider-Man (while sharing the IP) is not positioned to be the main draw. In fact, it’s very much the tertiary one.

The success depends on the whole package (The new Avengers ride, GoTG AND Spider-Man) being more impressive than Universal’s four rides.
