So what would the reason for having the steel beams along the load platform be?
Decoration to give it an industrial feel. You can see the entire tops of the vehicles and there is no attachment. The beams and columns are also only about 8” deep with some sizable spans between the columns. In order for a ride system to be there, a lot of oddly attached beams, a track and the ride vehicle would all have to be sitting in that very shallow space.

Where people live to experience theme park rides doesn’t matter.

What? Of course it does. I'm a life long fan of Marvel Comics (Spider-Man in particular) and Theme Parks, I'm also a born and raised Floridian, a state that hasn't had a new Marvel ride open in 19 years, so when I first heard that California Adventure was getting new Marvel themed rides and MCU based rides at that I was a little jealous. The fact that so far their plans, a ToT retheme (which I loved!) and another Midway Mania, aren't that impressive lowers that jealousy.

The Marvel rides at Islands of Adventure are a two and half hour drive from my home, I could theoretically drive up there ride all four Marvel rides and drive back with enough time to mow the lawn before it gets dark. Whereas California Adventure is a 37 hour nonstop drive for me.
I have gone to Universal Florida many, many times in a single year quite easily. At the most I will be able to spend a few hours of one day a year at Disneyland Resort. My location limits my access, that's not a dig on California or Disneyland by the way, I wish they were getting all the Marvel Rides that the non-USA Disney parks are getting, because California is still easier to access than those countries.

But to to say that where you live doesn't affect how and what parks you experience is silly.

No, it doesn’t. Also, jealousy is a personal problem.

You miss my point. The Spider-Man ride in USO isn’t only accessible to Floridians. Is it far away for some of us? Yes, but not impossible to get to. Same goes for those who don’t live close to California. You’re 37 hours from California, but that doesn’t mean Disneyland and everything else here is impossible for you to experience, unless you legally cannot leave wherever you live.

Agree to disagree. This thread isn’t about Florida/USO, so I will stop here.

Trust me, I knew what you meant this entire time.

I responded in the manner I did because I don’t believe it matters where people live. If those of us who live in California want to spend money to go to Florida to ride USO’s Spider-Man ride, so be it. If those who live in Florida want to experience this upcoming Spider-Man ride that we don’t know much about, so be it.

Where people live to experience theme park rides doesn’t matter.

As someone who will never get to go to Tokyo DisneySea, I respectfully disagree.

I haven't been reading the on-goings in this thread, but I thought I would share some info with you in what appears to be the right place:

Operations was given the efficiency numbers for Spiderman, and it looks like it will have almost the exact same guest capacity numbers as MFSR. The ride is designed to move 1,700 guests p/ hr at max efficiency, 1,600 guests at optimal. When you factor in all the normal daily occurrences, it will likely land somewhere between 1,400 and 1,500, as the top-end numbers are rarely met once WDI turns it over.

Anyway, it's not terribly interesting, but it's what I got so I'm tossing it your way.

I’ve been to Canada. It sucks. All it made me do was love the United States of America even more.

No worries, I've got nothing to prove! I like all these places.

I do enjoy that this Spiderman conversation in the Disneyland form is Florida versus California, whereas I'm sure in the Universal forum it is Disney versus Universal.

People love choosing sides!

I'm still not convinced there will be a plane of glass in front of the riders. I feel like the large bezel insert is just to accommodate the motion trackers like you can see on the ninjago vehicles. Hoping I'm wrong as I feel like that has a ton of cool possibilities

My side is that I'm opposing both.

It does when you consider your wallet ;)
