I bet we see new villains showing up in the years ahead. Kinda like how smugglers run is getting new missions in the next few years

Ooo! Maybe not in the years ahead but only during a particular season...

Gee, too bad we built animatronics of these villains - oh wait, it's a film. No problem.

(But again, it's probably the lawyers saying WDI should avoid whatever Sony comes up with on the villain side of things.)
Disney owns the characters. But yeah, they could change it in a few years (and I wouldn’t be shocked if they did).

So did the ride come too early then? Considering they’re allegedly adding most of the main Spider-Man villains in the next movie, perhaps they should’ve waited. Nevertheless, Mysterio would have been better than no villain.

Mysterio could have had a great fun house quality darkride experience with tons of disorienting magic effects. Turn that great sequence in Far From Home into a ride and I'm there! I don't need to pretend to pew pew with webs to enjoy that.

I actually like the idea of an Avengers training facility. I personally go to theme parks to get away from modern city settings. The idea of a training campus allowed them to create a new environment that would make sense to feature the super heroes, within the context of their story.
As others have stated, I'm just not too excited about the Web Slinger ride because any way you slice it, it's just another version of Midway Mania.
What would they be training for anyway? Haven’t they already saved people at this point?

It’s the aesthetics that I have a problem with. If they wanted to do a training facility-type thingy, fine, but make it look good. What they have now ain’t it.

I'll be honest, I didn't notice the gap with the exit hallway the first dozen times I rode. When those elevator doors opened, my attention was on the car and moving into it and getting a seat. Its not perfect, but it only stands out if you look for it. And the ride feels like a classic horror beat.

You go into a haunted hotel and an unsettling bellhop shows us to a dilapidated service elevator. The doors close, and it feels like we're being pulled backwards into an abyss. The doors before us, pulling away and floating surrounded by blackness until they too fade away. We rise and thank God, it was just our imagination. A normal hotel hallway with a mirror. But wait, the hallway is changing and we're seeing ourselves vanish. Will we become invisible spirits too? Another hallway, but I don't trust it. The ghosts of the lost elevator passengers appear and beckon for us to join them. The hotel vanishes and we're focused on this floating elevator door at the other end of the hall. The ghosts appear there, almost a mirror to ourselves. Suddenly, we see the elevator drop to its deadly conclusion. And then we drop. But we're safe. Not yet, the Tower itself is pushing surges of power to push our elevator higher and higher! It drops us and catches us before we crash on the floor, only to push us up even higher! The Tower is toying with as a cat does with a mouse. Finally, the doors open to reveal a very real world, the Tower maliciously salting our wound before it delivers the death blow. But somehow we survive. We fall forward, the elevator doors coming back into focus. The doors open to reveal the same unsettling bellhop. Had I really not moved this entire time? Was this all a dream? Did my imagination get the better of me? Perhaps, but the bellhop does have that knowing smile. All I know, is I'm not messing around with a haunted hotel again!

I think that's why I loved DCA's TOT as it was a cerebral experience for me. It wasn't this linear overly explained story.

Aww man your posts made me go on YouTube to watch an old ride through. I miss it. Just the music playing outside alone was better than all of GOTG:MB.

True, they've saved people already, but in the world of comic books, there's ALWAYS the next thing to be saved from just around the corner. But theming it to a facility where guests could be "trained as super heroes" could be a good way to include the people in the story as participants. As with everything, it would of course depend on the execution. In my opinion, a Spiderman shooting game isn't the best way to go, so I'm personally not too excited about it, although I will ride it with the full hope of enjoying myself without too many expectations.

I don't have a problem with their aesthetics, but that just boils down to personal preference. Of course, I haven't even seen it in person so I may really like it a lot more than I expect, or really, REALLY hate it when the time comes.

My biggest problem with the land (overall I like it) is the upcharging for the spiderman ride. I really dislike everything about it, from concept to execution. The extra powers should be something you choose when you pick up the 3d glasses and they should be just bracelets like magic bands. So you get on the ride, choose what power you want with your glasses, then give them back at the end of the ride.... Right now they are bulky looking colored plastic that i imagine you wont wanna wear all day and dont seem to do anything anywhere else so there no reason to. if it was like the wands in harry potter land that you can interact with a bunch of stuff id feel better about it but as it is now its a 1 use product for 30+ dollars that looks and probably is cheap chinese plastic. I really dislike that.

I haven’t been to Avengers Campus yet, but as a USC alumna and someone who’s visited Stanford, based on the photos alone, Avengers Campus looks nothing like either and doesn’t seem inspired by either.

It looks more like a community college. USC/Stanford or community college, the placement of Avenger’s Campus in DCA is definitely a stretch.
I was going to say the same thing, I definitely felt it looked just like the community college I attended before moving on to a four year.

Nah, love hearing Alan Silvestri's masterpieces more.

I like the Avengers score/ theme but it doesn’t hit the same when you re walking past a warehouse and Maters. It’s a little too dynamic and grand to be playing at the entrance of the land or where there is no action to be seen. They need to change the arrangement a bit.

The Bugs life soundtrack matched its theme park surroundings.
