There's no need to compare this to Universal's attraction, as Disney themselves has created amazing rides in the past (Indy immediately comes to mind). They could do it if the mindset was different.

Disney, thank you for continuing to encourage me to spend my previous AP money on trips elsewhere. I will always return to the parks for the older, great attractions, but not a single new edition over the past couple of years has enticed me to visit.

I thought about that too but why? They even do a phased approach with the audio now?

I am thinking a music issue with Sony, and they knew all the media would have the sound or their videos taken down on YouTube, so they decided to forego it for the media videos.

probably means we will have copyright issues when actual videos start going up.

Been on this ride twice in Orlando and four times in Osaka (and it was more updated there at the time). Yeah this is one of those rides that will always be, sorry, amazing. WEB looks fun but it basically is what most of us assumed it would be. And all the reports I been seeing basically say it's 'OK'. For something truly amazing, you don't just say 'OK'! ;)
Not helping is that there's already a similar attraction to "Web Slingers" located a few miles away *cough* something, something "You got a friend in me" *cough*

Regardless of the underwhelming Spidey ride, I'm glad they have "streetmospheres" in the land which was very much lacking in Galaxy's Edge. I could definitely watch that stuntronic fly in the air and never get tired of it.

That looks amazing (OK, have to start using a different word lol). And I think they did learn their lesson with GE. It looks like you will really interact with the characters in AC. But with GE, it makes no sense to have a land that big and immersive and yet there are only four characters walking about. Get Leia, the Mandalorian, Baby Yoda, Ashoka and C-3P0 walking around already!

The theory going round is that there's potential "YouTube smacks down music copyright" problems for the soundtracks being used during those silent portions. I guess that's possible. But the SM:Homecoming music is playing fine right there in the pre-show. What else could it be? AntMan music at PYM's? Guardian's music at the fortress? Avengers music with the Quinjet... BUT THEY OWN THOSE THEMES! The Homecoming music is the one thing they probably DON'T own, Sony does!

...so many people upset that spiderman isnt a major e ticket, when it was already known it was a small interactive darkride since the beginning... the spiderman ride is great for what it is, a small family friendy interactive dark ride. jesus some of the people on here are so negative and cringey....

At least Toy Story is more of an intriguing concept. Even if there's an already existing Wii game. The attraction's placement is genius, charming, and the Potato Head AA is still impressive to this very day. The aesthetics ultimately give it a huge benefit, and it feels like proper IP implementation. This feels cold, uninspired, and corporate, much like F&F Supercharged.

My guess is that there is music but it wasn't turned on yet or something since the ride isn't officially open yet.

Yeah there are some times where Spider-man really looks like he should be talking, especially when he gets stuck in that box thing.
It's pretty obvious that there were audio tracks missing from that ride thru. The one thing we know about Spider-Man is that he never shuts up.

In this video It's kind of hard to tell but it does sound like there is music playing in the background of the ride. Particularly around the 8 second mark. You also hear a female voice on the ride that isn't in any of the ride POV's that I have seen so far.
