It was called Cosmic Waves.

It basically became a giant public bathhouse. Name a bodily fluid and it pretty much ended up in there.

Cosmic Waves was so nasty.

Also, I'll never forgive S*** Mountain. What were they thinking??

Okay, how the HECK are we supposed to have a dance party here if the pavement is all messed up and uneven like that?! 😱

I'm fine if they move the show over to the Campus but I'm NOT OKAY with losing the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance-Off! which is literally my fave show in the park!
Under normal conditions, I don't think it will be an issue. Although ugly, it doesn't seem like the ground is any more uneven than an area paved with bricks or cobblestones, and it meets ADA's requirements for a "flat" surface. Whether management sees value in reviving that particular show is another issue, but there's no reason that the new ground treatment would preclude it from happening.

However, as soon as the slick shiny surface gets wet, it looks like it's going to turn into an ice rink. Good think that people never spill drinks in a theme park and that it never rains outside, or they would have a major safety hazard surrounding one of the park's marquee attractions.

Perhaps every time someone slips on the smooth surface, we should all yell "KABLAM!" at them, like the Imagineers intended. You never expect the unexpected (except when it's a safety hazard that's perfectly predictable).

Flooring and hardscape materials in the major parks are supposed to meet internal standards of slip resistance and are tested for compliance.

Does this sandwich which will be served in the land have a big piece of chicken or a small bun? I get the backstory behind it but I’m hoping it’s a lot of chicken.

Looks like it came from this video of the opening date announcement.

Ah I guess I haven’t been following as closely. Only the Ant Man one seems to be new, maybe.

In the Disney Wish video at 6:50 there’s a nice look at the land. Here’s what they showed.

I'll say it again, no matter how people feel about the land in general, this place is going to be an amazing area to be in at night. It's just stunningly beautiful at night. I mean wow!

But I'm confused on the Dr. Strange area. I know this will be some kind of show, but will people be able to walk through it when there is no show? Is it both an entertainment area but also an area you can walk around in too, sort of like being able to hang out in the WOC standing area throughout the day?

The Disney Food Blog describes it as, "... a LARGE chicken schnitzel with a small slider-sized potato bun, topped with Sriracha and teriyaki citrus mayo, and pickled cabbage slaw."

So it's primarily a chicken schnitzel (yum) made to look like a failed chicken sandwich experiment (also yum). Adding it to my food list as we speak.

The Disney parks know how to get one thing right above all else. They really know how to make their parks look good at night.
