Side note:

It would have been really nice to see a SW:GE type rock tunnel here, kinda like they have on the other side of Cars Land, to allow the backstage road to go over the guest walkway. Obviously a cheaper option was taken, but I've never liked those weird intersections where there's a bunch of paths that you're not allowed to take.

That could have been cool.

Other side note: the Cars Land entrance you mentioned is by the far the best of the three entrances yet is the one I use the least. Probably because I never eat at that food court. In fact in all of my visits to DLR as an AP I probably haven’t walked through it more than 8-10 times.

Six castle parks and they're all named "Disneyland" except for one.

Each castle park has none to three extra parks as part of its "resort." But their existence is often left out of the naming convention of "CityName Disneyland."

Only "Disney World" gives a naming convention that implies there's more there than the castle park.

Any attached hotel is called a 'resort.' But the whole parks and resorts complex is also called a 'resort'.

So... don't blame the guest for being confused.
And you can visit the "World of Disney" at Disney World.

Just to add to the naming fun. :D

Why does the path from Cars Land to “Bugs Land” seem shorter now ?

Oh, were u you taking about between Maters and Spidey?

well they did quite a few modifications so that they could use more of the property .

First of all they removed the large plot of land that was used as storage area for the flying tires and have created a new fork in the road for backstage access. Looks like the previous entry way into Flicks fun fair was just realigned so that it faces more north east instead of a hard turn north. so the yellow line would be the entry area. The angle of the shots can be a bit deceiving so the new entryway might have moved a bit from the original one only because of the close proximity to the new Avengers building but it does look like it might be in same spot. The blue would be the new backstage access and what used to be the long road to the gates will now be a landscaped barrier to with sitelines.

The area that used to have the cereal box as well as heimlich chew chew train was also modified. The small backstage area that was behind Heimlich and had the exit track for the ride vehicle maintenance was also reduced. this was to allow the new Spidey shop and pathway in the area to be widened.

using google maps the new spidey shop shown below marked in yellow used to be mostly backstage area. The widened the pathway that used to have the box a bit because the Spiderman building grew a bit

Didn’t notice the bridge until you pointed it out. I kind of liked how low key that old path was. It was one of my favorite spots in the park.
i do not believe it is a bridge, the black area at the bottom of the pathway that makes it look like a bridge is actually protective barrier. Once they fill that area up with soil it would help keeps moisture away from the wall

Looks like the pathway is roughly the same and that they just built that nice transition bridge in place of the simple walkway that went into Bugs Land
At first i thought it was a bridge entry but it looks like the black area at the bottom of the pathway that makes it look like a bridge is actually protective barrier. That whole area looks like it will be a landscaped section to help with sitelines, that black paper barrier will protect the concrete from the moisture once the area is filled and planted

I think we've gotten so used to the divide between GotG and a Bug's Land that it's hard to see how GotG will fit with Avengers Campus.

There's a very clear entrance and transition between the areas which adds the illusion of separation. The trees do a great job of that.

The trolly corridor also creates that feeling of separation.

Now if we look at some recent Bioreconstruct and Micechat images, we can see that the separation is now gone and just how much GotG will feel more like it's part of the land. There will be a corridor where I've marked below that runs from Guardians to the open space between the Avengers building and Pym's.

I think this shot captures the overall campus better and you can see how Guardians looks more like part of the land. I however don't care for how much they jutted the corner of the Pym building into the corridor. You can also see that Guardians isn't really facing away from the land, but more of a 45-degree angle to much of the land. You also can see just how close the tower and the Avengers building really are. Almost touching each other.

You can see here there will be a bit of an s-curve down the corridor. I wonder if they will put up some sort of signage or archway at one of the two locations where I'm showing the blue and green lines. I'm also wondering if they will change/retheme the Guardians Fastpass area or leave as is.

I think if they repainted the tower to match the concept art (and rest of the land) it wouldn't be so bad. I've never liked the color scheme on it anyway. And I do agree with those who say the "story" of why there's an Avengers campus right next to a tower/fortress owned by the Collector is odd.

As far as an entryway into the land from Sunset Blvd goes, they could maintain the feel of the 1930's and use a gateway similar to what San Jose State University has on their campus.

They should try and see how the Tower would look if instead of the browns and reds maybe using a cooler paint scheme that integrates silvers and grey.

I think part of the reason they went with the browns and reds was to try and mask it a bit when seen from places like Pixar pier and Carsland. From those angle the tower seems to be a continuation of the the brown warmer tones of the mountain range.
The problem is that it is so far away from the eastern edge of the mountain range that it doesn't really help. The future addition of a large show building will just make it worse.
The warm hues of the tower will really stand out against the cooler color scheme of the large boxy building that will be put behind it.

I also hope that the concept art was not fully realied and that some of the design elements form the now being built Avenger building will flow towards the large new box that will be built behind it. DCA doesn't need another huge non theme building in that corner of the park. A Large Avengers logo is not enough especially when the land already has a large themeless building on the north side. The Animation building backside should be another one of those structures that WDI need to look at and at least add some painted facade on it.

I still think they should retheme the tower to Dr. Strange's Inner Sanctum. It would bring back the creepiness and make sense with the Avengers Campus next door.

I've been saying this since the beginning! The outside would look awesome as the Sanctum and then the different floors could be different portals that you pop in and out of. Seems like a missed opportunity... That being said I love Mission Breakout.

They should have just left it as TOT instead of quickly repainting the queue and adding strip lights above doorways. If they wanted to use the space for a new ride, just tear it down rather than trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.

They clearly didn't have the time or money devoted to making Mission BO a good replacement or even a good part of Avengers Campus.

Seems like it doesn't work at all in Avengers College to have an alien space tower holding heroes hostage. Why would it be there?

It doesn't work at all thematically. IFRC they claimed the tower sort of fell out of the sky and landed where it is? Pretty lucky it happened to land right by Avengers Campus I guess... But seriously it doesn't fit at all the two aren't connected in absolutely any way. They just wanted to be able to say "Hey look! We're adding a new Marvel ride from the MCU because we're going to have a whole Marvel area soon! What? They don't connect with each other at all? Of course they do, they're from the same universe!" It was cheap marketing and they wanted to make it an "anchor" of that area to draw people towards the new land and wanted to promote the fact they were adding Marvel to the park. I genuinely believe if they left ToT and still built Avengers Campus it would tie in together exactly the same because they don't tie in at all. I don't want to hear superheroes walking around the land talking about "The Collector's vault (or whatever idk what it technically is, the fortress?) just appeared there one day. We need you to get to the bottom of it!" or anything like that, cause remember everyone needs to be an active participant in the story of the land. I don't have any basis for the claim they'll say something like that but I wouldn't put it past Disney adding even more "You are the hero!" to the parks and that could be an easy way. Plus if they did say anything like that why would a superhero be telling a tourist to go investigate it instead of doing it themselves. Well now I'm just ranting about a made up thing from my head but my point still sticks, they aren't related at all and it was a cheap way to add another Marvel ride to the park without building a whole new one. I guess they're lucky they did since the E-Ticket is now gonna be years away / cancelled due to coronavirus and this way they don't only have one ride in the entire new land they built (even though Guardians isn't even in the land, just next to it).
