I didn't say anything about price increases. You seem to have a habit of saying I (and Bob Iger) said things that we actually never did.

The answer to this is obvious. Because the AP program makes them money. This has nothing to do with whether or not they are worth more than paying guests.

That is not at all where the idea stems from. I have never heard anyone make this argument. I've certainly never made it.

This makes no sense at all. Why would they get rid of a program that makes them money, just because it makes them less than other tickets?

The evidence that APs are worth less is obvious. During the days, weeks, and months of the year when paid guests come in their greatest numbers, Disneyland blocks out APs to make room for them. Why would Disney do that if APs were worth the same or more?
I'm sorry but your whole premise is ludicrous, and really not as straight forward as you make it seem. Why would Disney keep a program where they make less money?

If "paid guests" (which btw APs are, they just pay at a different time) actually make Disney more money then just make everyone a "paid guest" (which I know some would love around here).

The whole idea of the AP for Disney is to keep the park full all year round. They blockout the APs during the busy tourist season in order to get tourist money, not because they value the AP any less. In fact because they want to keep the park full year round I would even say they value APs more because they do come during what used to be off-season times and spend money.

I'm just going to throw this out there because I don't think anyone mentioned it. But this piece of concept art was shown at D23 for the preshow of the Spider-Man attraction:

What I'm wondering is if the Spidey that I've circled will be an AA. I know everyone will be quick to say it'll just be screens. But think about it for a second, they are doing AAs in a lot of preshows now. Just like how we got Rocket for the GotG preshow and Hondo for MF:SR preshow.

So what do we think are the chances of it being an AA?

Too bad it won't be Tom Holland's voice. Gonna be weird having a Spider-Man ride for a hero who no longer will have any adventures in the mcu and seeing that same Spidey that won't be voiced by Tom Holland even though it is supposed to be Tom Holland's Spider-Man. They should just scrap the Spidey ride and make it an Iron Man ride

You don't know it won't be voiced by Holland. It was discussed before in this thread. If a new deal is indeed not happening (even though it appears there are indications they are still trying to work it out) it won't have any affect on the attraction. As any theme park deal would have be separate or at the very least part of the original deal that is still in effect. Which means that Holland could still come in to voice the character within the attraction.

Which again would be weird considering his version of the character is no longer apart of the MCU.

If Holland reprised his role as Spider-Man without a deal between Sony and Disney, I do believe Sony would have the right to sue as it's use of their character, just as they would if Disney had Maguire or Garfield in the role.

We've had this discussion before. Any theme park attraction appearance would have been worked out as part of the original deal. Again that deal didn't end, its still in place today. What is being negotiated is future appearances in the MCU, basically extending the existing deal.

Being that there is a shadow behind him I’m going with an AA.

This is where everyone gets confused, and I blame click-bait article titles and sloppy writing. Spidey is still part of the MCU as of Far from Home, that is still an MCU film. He just has no future appearances because the Sony/Marvel deal hasn't been extended, that is what is being negotiated now (if reports are true that they are still talking).

Speculation.

Speculation on who's part? Not mine, as the Spider-Man attraction was announced at D23 2017, the same year Homecoming came out. The original deal was done back in 2015. They would have worked out the theme park aspect in 2015, otherwise it wouldn't have been announced at D23 in 2017.
So you know this for a fact?
