Avatar (the movie) and its Sequels

That is yet to be seen.
I'm only talking about the first film. I think the 2009 Avatar is better than Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, the Rise of Skywalker, Rogue One and Solo.

I'll concede that A New Hope and the Empire Strikes Back are better than Avatar.

How come you did not follow your own advice on the prequels

Isn't it a little early to be drinking?

Or for the 'specialized' edition of A New Hope which threw in a bunch of CGI that wasn't needed in the original.
To be fair, some was. The Death Star attack is much better in the SE.

I still maintain the biggest issue with the Special Edition was how hap hazardly and randomly it was done. It was a tech demo, not actually properly doing what it claimed to do.

and it made 4x the money on a 20 year old rerelease than unmodified Avatar did with a 13 year old rerelease.

Is it even humanly possible to hold your breath for 5 minutes, let alone someone who isn't a trained Navy Seal, professional swimmer, etc.?

Maybe 30-60 seconds, breath, relax, another 30-60 seconds, rinse, repeat but NOT for too many takes at a time.

The current non-oxygen aided records stand at 11 minutes, 35 seconds for men (Stéphane Mifsud, 2009) and 8 minutes, 23 seconds for women (Natalia Molchanova, 2011).

I don't think the cast all together on a Zoom call would agree to lie about how long they held their breath.

They could have possibly use oxygen-aided diving, but no one has asked them if they did... yet.

Tom Cruise held his breath for over 6 minutes in Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. Definitely takes a lot or training.
