AVATAR land - the specifics

I know it's bold to say this only viewing these videos and not even riding FoP but is it safe to say this new land rounds out AK and elevates it to elite Disney park status?

I'm sure certain posters who've never wanted this land will be along soon to tell you how low budget, boring, un-Disney, false and hideous it all looks and predict record low crowds following its opening

That merch looks great. Seems like they have something for everyone there and I appreciate how there are multiple aesthetics represented. Compare, say, the tie-dye hippie-looking bioluminescent T-shirt to the fake Pandora vacation logo shirt to the one that's just a stylized banshee outline. What's the deal with those little shoulder banshee things? Are they puppets or stuffed animals with small animation motors? I kind of want one.

I have to say, though- I'm a little disappointed with Satu'li. When I read the description for the restaurant it sounded like it was shaping up to be another hidden masterpiece of decorative storytelling, like Restaurantasaurus, but it doesn't seem to have that level of granular theming. I was hoping for tons and tons of details on the walls focusing more on what the building was like when it was controlled by RDA, but it looks like it's been completely Na'vi-afied already.

Can't wait to see what people think of the food.

From what I've seen, absolutely.
AKL was already the second best park down there before this stuff even opened. Now if they could start work on Australia...

Lol that is a stretch. I would say it looks great but in no way does the land make it any better than before.

That would be me lol. However, i think animal kingdom will see unprecedented crowds and waits. I think the 2 rides look amazing but the river ride is nothing more than a 20 minute wait.

No one told me there was going to be turquoise beer.
From Terrapin, no less.

So any confirmation either way if the fop seats move towards the screen or not? Confused how this can have more movement than soarin if they don't

Now if they could start work on Australia...

Australia would be cool, but I'd still want them to first replace or improve Dinorama (with maybe the Excavator coaster?) and franky, Kali River Rapids. Of all the park's existing attractions, that's the one that most obviously feels like it was a victim of budget cuts.

And I still want my dragon! Even if it's just a minor walk through like at DLP. Just something after 20 years of waiting.

They should and could extend Kali... not bulldoze it unless an entire land goes in its place. Anyway... they do need to fix Dinoland's problems first.
