AVATAR land - the specifics

Because there are many people that are in the Disney parks and ask where Harry Potter land is.

That will never go away. I have heard people in Universal ask where the big ball is.

My favorite was overhearing someone say something to the effect of "My kids wanted to go see
that big ball, so we went there, and there's like a whole big area around it with rides and countries!
Had no idea."

Seriously. I heard that one on property.

I find it interesting that GotG: MB has just been announced as opening the same day as Pandora. Do they not want one resort to overshadow another one? I can tell you that May 27th will be a big day for Disney fans on both coasts.

I'm more than happy to take Avatarland over what the west coast is getting. May that GotG monstrosity never make its way east.

The waterfalls are pretty darn cool looking. Those floating mountains are going to be a real jaw dropping centerpiece.

Can't wait for the 27th! Currently trying to plan a trip in September while our AP's are still active. It has been a long wait, but I am really excited for this land to come online.

Does anyone know if Disney will be doing a TV special on the making of Pandora:WoA?

I loved the Everest special and I am really hoping we get something like this for P:WoA. I love the behind the scenes and technical detail these types of shows provide. Even if they are mostly just big advertisements.

It's also Memorial Day Weekend, which is the start of the "recreational summer season." By that time, there's enough college kids available to get trained and start working for summer jobs. And the three day weekend is also guaranteed to boost attendance.

This is like 2012 opening dates except we are the ones actually getting the cool stuff (carsland vs nfl / gotg:mb vs avatarland)

I don't know but I hope so too. Universal also did one for Diagon Alley which was pretty cool, I would definitely enjoy a Pandora special.

Edit- here it is :)
