AVATAR land construction progress

I wish the land was officially called just Pandora, like on the website
It is basically. It's Pandora: The World of Avatar. I can almost guarantee people are just going to call it Pandora.
My guess (and what makes most sense) is that after a while, they'll drop the 'World of Avatar' part. Right now, it's just there so the general public can associate the land with the film, but after several years that probably will no longer be needed.

if i have dinner reservations and plan on going the fri the 26th is it safe to say i will be to see avatar land....and will fast passes be available even if it is not officially opening or should i change fri to dhs and do ak on monday
The actual night before is tough. There's probably a good chance that you will get to see it at some point during the week before but i think we will have a better idea once Disney announces what they're going to do for the press. That might be the night they have their press event and it would be shut down for normal guests.

Photo update as of Tuesday, Feb. 8. Installation of palms (some short, some tall) this week on the berm across from the Disney bus transportation terminal. Behind the construction fence, there will definitely be a new bus terminal shelter. Rebar for regularly-spaced support columns can be seen in the ground that matches the positions in the current shelters.

I dunno. Universal still calls it The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Hogsmeade™.

Heard that its official for a may 27 opening day, sucks going second week of may and it wont be open :(

To be fair, the previous announcement was "Summer 2017" so expecting an official opening date in May at all was still a stretch. Hopefully there will be some soft openings but you might be too early.

Still not as bad as me expecting to see RoL in September 2016 as it was announced opening April 2016 and it still isn't quite there!

Please remember people that those pictures are all long exposure, which means the shutter was held open for a long period of time to allow the light to be exposed to the sensor longer. This gives that very bright glow effect you are seeing. Still going to look amazing but yeah :)

Agreed. Those photos are cool but seem misleading... I hope it's not that bright!

In the Parks
No
The pictures are amazing. I wonder what they are hiding. This will really keep them in the park at night now. Doesn't look like it will impact the animals either. May have to make a trip down in May or June.

Only at night though.
