I was hoping someone good give me some good advice. We have scheduled Disney May 25 - June 2. I didn't think Avatar land would be open but seems like it might. I am real with my disney planning already did my dining and my touring plans for each park. I scheduled Animal kingdom friday before memorial day weekend.

Can somone give me some advice ... maybe switch to mon or tue? How bad will the crowds be when something new opens? Last trip was like a month after Mine Train opened and I was able to get fast passes as soon as they came available online. Will they have fast passes for these new rides?.....JUST ANY ADVICE ON PLANNING WOULD REALLY CALM MY DISORDER...LOL..........THANKS

If you are there on actual opening day it will be bedlam in at least that section of the park with a high probability of a phased closure due to attendance.

If you miss it by a few days, the crowds will be heavy, but workable.

Fastpass should be available, but they will most likely run out almost as soon as they become available.

I'm guessing if it is anything like mine train, they announced an opening date and I would check every night over and over to see when the fast passes would come available. How far in advance do they usually announce an opening date from the actual openning date. I guess I'm going to have to be a little flexible in my planning this time and flip flop my friday animal kingdom day to a day the new land is open. friday being the friday of memorial day weekend. I wonder if the other parks will have a slight drop with the flood to animal kingdom that first week of it being open.

So if you're wearing goggles the whole time what's the point int having it look like a banshee, couldn't that also just be in the goggles?
Could have been, but I was promised a banshee, and I intend to climb on my banshee! Sitting in a comfy chair with goggles on doesn't sound quite as immersive to me. ;)
