AVATAR land construction progress

Could have been, but I was promised a banshee, and I intend to climb on my banshee! Sitting in a comfy chair with goggles on doesn't sound quite as immersive to me. ;)
How the heck can goggles ever be comfortable if they use them? Plus think about the extra time its going to take for people to adjust them every cycle. Just seems like a bad idea to me.

Given the choice of goggles or no goggles I'd choose to be without. But saying it will be uncomfortable and take extra time is a little bit of a stretch. Seems to be ok on Star Tours, Toy Story, Spider Man, Transformers etc. etc.

Glasses or goggles? There is a difference.....

Photo update as of Friday, Feb. 3. While not completed, more trees and other vegetation has been added to the berm across from the Disney bus transportation terminal. There is definitely some construction work going on behind this fence in front of the berm. I could see stakes in the ground marking a foundation outline.

There is enough flat ground between the new berm and the fence to build another bus terminal.

The only positive thing about opening day for this is it should help to draw crowds away from MK and Epcot. I have zero interest in riding a banshee. The boat ride i would like to do. Mostly i want to see the land at night.

You can see the available space in a recent aerial video.

80 to 90 is about right. Here is an early construction photo with a worker that can be used for reference.

Hey thanks a lot for the pic.. would it be safe to say that each of those horizontal bars represents 1 story? I also didn't realize how much taller the floating mountains in the foreground would be than the building in the back. Interesting how it's almost 2/3 the mountains, isn't this the basic rule/ratio of forced perspective?
