Looking at historical maps on Terraserver, there seems to be quite a lot of new staging in the past year at this location:

Photo update as of Saturday, Feb 21. From the "inside the park" entrance to Rainforest Café, you can see the new building above the gate into the area. The top floor of this building can be seen just above the tree line from the drive to the parking lot now.

I think the area has changed a lot in the past year. Here is an Image from Google that based on the FotLK progress puts in in early 2014. Below that is a picture from NearMap.com from December 2014.

I am guessing they are going to use that area for the Avatar rock work and canopy mock ups that we have seen permits for.

Sorry I thought he meant how long has it been cleared for (assuming he is a he)

The ex tree farm is often used as a main staging area for anything DAK speficic. If you look back over the years you'll see it being cleared, then left, cleared, then left.

Long long term plans are to connect the conservation station area to the Kali area with foot traffic. But when exactly is like wondering how long EE will be hace a disco Yeti.

I noticed in the new arial that they are also bulldozing quite a Large area directly under Pizzafari. I wonder what is going to be there. Perhaps a holding area for when avatar land is full?

I believe a new restaurant is going in that area that will use the same dining area as pizzafari.

Interesting, so if that's also Avatar themed that means Avatar theming is also extending across from the bridge.

This has been discussed in one of the threads recently. All indications are that the boat ride is still happening, it's just that it doesn't look like it will be laid out the same way as in the plans.
