Interesting permit today or a "Central Energy Plant" at Animal Kingdom. The Savannah Circle addresses get lower as you get closer to the front of the park, so all the Avatar permits have been in these lower numbers. 467 is the lowest number I have seen so far so it appears that this might be what is going in southern most portion of the land behind Rainforest.

Would this be where the power for the themed area would likely be? Sort of like a sub station?

I was wondering about that, flying a drone over.

Most areas you probably couldn't do it since its not like you can take a drone through the front gates.

At AK depending what kind of drone you have, the only way to do it would probably be to launch from the parking lot, with your get away planned.

Just dont get the cops or homeland security called, that would be bad bad.

I would suggest that is a VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD idea.

This seems possible. The contractor named on the permit doesn't seem to be in the energy business.

Actually according to their web site power generation is one of the things they do. They are a pretty big contractor, between them and thier parent company Balfour Beatty plc, there isn't much they haven't built.

I stand corrected. I just did a quick look at the website and saw what looked like a lot of commercial buildings. I didn't see that they did energy projects too. It would make sense then that it's probably an actual energy plant.

I am wondering if the current electrical supply to the park isn't sufficient to support what they plan to build. Compared to it's size I would bet the current park has pretty modest energy requirements.
That seems possible. They are also adding additional nighttime events which could require more lights in the existing park.
