I waited about an hour for this the Saturday after Thanksgiving. EMH was at 7, and we got in line at 6:55. I think we exited the ride at 7:55? It was the first ride of our trip, and nothing else at Disney lived up to that ride in terms of how real all of that felt. While 3/4 of us were screaming from the thrills, our other traveling friend loved it too (just wasn’t so vocal). I even said “Oh noooo!” when the Avatar link disconnected at the end of the ride, I didn’t want it to end.

The only issue we had was that the 3D glasses were too big, and mine were a little scratched.

Showed up at park opening and did it first thing today with about an hour wait. On one ride it might be my new favorite Disney ride (had a hard time believing anything would ever beat Space Mountain!). Sure it's like Soarin', but it surpasses it in pretty much every way and really shows the heights of what you can do these days. Nothing's worth a three hour wait so if you want to do it just show up as early as possible and you should be able to get a sub two hour wait these days.

Just so I'm clear, you show up an hour? before RD and then wait an hour in line at FoP? So a 2 hour wait no matter what? I can only get FP 30 days out so no chance there even though I can go any day. Looks like I am waiting no matter what.

you can certainly get fop during your window; even same day, possibly -
but you gotta hammer it... and get lucky.

of course, you'll have to be a willing slave to whatever time you can snag, but you'll eventually get one.

Keep hearing that but always "No fast passes available for this attraction". I am 1.2 hours away, if I can get one I am there but "lucky"? I don't even get my money back on lotto anymore

you show up an hour early to have a limited wait maybe 20 minutes and then the rest of the park is wide open when you get off the ride at 905

Don't remember the exact time I showed up but that sounds about right.

How long does this take to get through if you have a fast pass? I am going with my partner and a toddler and can't decide if we should do a ride swap. I just don't know if it would be worth us riding alone and keeping the toddler entertained while the other one is on the ride. I know the ride is probably only a couple of minutes, but I imagine it's like the Test Track where there is a good 20 minutes before you get to the ride even with a fast pass.

I'd budget at least 30 minutes for the attraction. As with other rides, there can be a reasonable wait even with FP+ (10+ minutes), and the attraction itself takes quite a while with the 2 pre-shows

To the people saying there is no chance to get a FP for the attraction, just hold onto hope and diligently check for one. My wife and I were looking for our additional fastpass (after using the first 3), and were able to grab two FP's for this ride in one day, and actually saw another one pop up later, but it was the same time as our dining reservation in another park. Just gotta update and scroll, update and scroll, update and scroll.

Experienced Flight of Passage a couple weeks ago and I can’t really add much that’s already been said about the ride: Maybe it’s not groundbreaking, but with everything working together I was wowed, delighted, and impressed. What a pleasant and worthy addition to DAK.

I mentioned in the NRJ thread that I was also pleasantly surprised by the resident C ticket. But you wanna talk about things in Pandora that are worse in person?

Dr. Stevens.

I sincerely hope they consider reworking the awful preshow. I had seen video, I heard the reviews. But nothing can compare to the suffocation of being stuck in that room with Dr. Stevens awkwardly mumbling at you for 5 minutes (if you’re lucky. On my second ride, there was a significant delay and I was in that room for close to 10 minutes). Dr. Stevens’ preshow is like Themed Entertainment Waterboarding. It speaks volumes about the ride that the preshow didn’t totally kill my excitement, but it came close.

Not a surprise. I think it's clearly Disney's best ride at the moment. Was the AK safari the best rated ride before? So that would mean they now have the two top rated rides.

Flight of Passage has been the highest-rated attraction since the day it opened. Nice to see Disney acknowledge that. Not sure why Bob Chapek flat-out lied about Mission Breakout and Tron being the highest-rated at those resorts, but didn't tell that true fact about FoP, at D23. Never trust bald people.

No, it was Everest. Safari is third now.

Woah, top three attractions all at AK. The guests must be really into it.

No no! Sorry, I just meant those are the top three rides in the park! I stupidly misunderstood your question. I though you were asking if Safari was formerly the highest-rated ride at the park, not the whole resort.

Depending on how you measure it goes something like this in WDW. Still good for DAK but not top 3.

Flight of Passage
Toy Story Midway Mania
Soarin' Around the World
Expedition Everest
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Splash Mountain
...

I had heard one time that Kilimanjaro Safaris was the highest rated ride in all the parks before, but maybe I was misinformed.
