Wow the wait times don't look atrocious. 2 hours for FOP an 1 1/2 hours for NRJ. Imo if the ride and queue are that good 2 hours isn't terrible especially since its brand new.
2 hours is extremely justifiable for FoP, imo. It seems like everything has been moving well too. I’m fine being in a line as long as it’s moving and there’s awesome things to look at. The first day of passholder previews we were stuck in one location for almost an hour. That is not as fun lol.

Interesting idea, but I don't buy it -- I think the "breathing" effect is supposed to convince us there's a banshee down there. But who knows? Maybe that's what they're going for.
Yeah. But I was thinking more of not necessarily being the banshee but a symbiotic link to it so u still feel your avatar body but see through the banshee's eyes.
If anything it'd be a good way to explain it even if not what they intended.

Is it possible the idea is meant to be that when a na'vi links to a banshee they create a symbiotic link and actually see through the eyes of the banshee?

I think they make it very clear you are the rider and not the banshee.

But, I would like to point out something that has been bugging me about those who complain about not seeing the head of the banshee in front of them. The Navi mount the banshee up around the short neck, not over the torso. Here is a pic of Jake on his:

The head would not be far out in front, rather it slopes down just in front of your hands. I think what everyone is expecting is too influenced by how Daenerys rides her dragon in "Game of Thrones," with a long serpentine neck before them.

So I rode FoP again today and the wait time said 165 minutes. We got in line at exactly 6:30pm and we're off the ride at 10pm, so the wait time was not very accurate. The first time I rode this on Sunday I had pretty bad motion sickness. Today when I rode I felt better but wasn't 100% and I'm thinking it could be attributed to the long wait in the line with the heat. I've had full bottled waters and today I made sure to eat before riding but after the long wait I'm not sure how helpful it was. I'd also say that I think the air conditioning in the queue line is not adequate. The first area where you are in a cave is almost unbearable and probably why they have a drink refill station just after it. Tonight I also felt very clammy and hot in many of the other rooms as well. I think they should have another drink refill machine in the lab area as well.

Speaking of the lab, guests are now putting money under the glass where they have the exhibits. Disney has done an awful caulking job on this glass and it's not even done all the way across. There are also slits in between the panes and if they really wanted to the guest could probably just drop it over the top. So the caulk is pointless and Disney should just make a priority to go in and clean it out every morning. Here's a photo of the guest idiocy and the awful caulk job:

I'm here right now and just rode FoP. My review is that it's a very good ride, and the theming is excellent, although rock work and moss is kind of what Disney is good at. Some nice touches in the queue to look at. The ride itself is very good, although I disagree with some other reviews about some things. Most of the time I could see the tip of the screen in the corner of my eye, similar to Soarin maybe a little less. Also j didn't think the video was any crisper than FJ, it was about the same. But the ride is very good, I'm sure it will be popular. The preshow areas are cool, kind of reminds me of Mission Space. Like I said before, very nice addition to AK, very Disney, not really a game changer.

Long wait times can make a person feel terrible. Your suggestions of another water station, more AC, and keeping the queue clean (since people without respect will always exist), are valid, and you might want to let guest relations know. I'm a big believer in giving feedback, positive or negative.

I've ridden it twice. Same seat each time - middle row, all the way to the left. You can see the edge, you can see the other riders, but only if you go looking for them. While focusing on the screen I didn't notice any distortion.

What I saw today of the mechanics were that each row of 8 seats is a ride vehicle that can go up and down. I couldn't really gage how far it could move. Maybe 10 feet or less. The row of 8 seats in the vehicle can pitch forward and back. Each individual seat has right to left movement. Put all three together and it truly is an impressive flight simulation. I loved it.

FJ was very blurry to me. FOP is crystal clear.

One thing I might suggest, if it's not already being done I don't know, but they might work on having different flights each time, so it has lots of re-rideability a la Star Tours.

I disagree that FoP was crystal clear throughout. There was quite a bit of blurriness in there. Those little floaty things that look like jellyfish were pretty clear, but often a lot of the picture wasn't in complete focus.

Everything has looked pretty dang HD clear to me both times I've ridden.

The image quality is definitely not perfect from the two ends - seats 1-2 and 15-16. Some of the scenes look more pristine than others. The ocean and wave are rendered very crisply. The brightly lit opening scene and the stampeding buffalo show more blur.

Is FoP fully operational yet? I know it is the grand opening, but if wait time for both attractions remain north of two hours, I doubt I'd ever be in the standby line...no matter how great the attraction. Just my 2 cents.
