Avatar construction aerial updates

We have come to expect better things from Universal in the last 10 years. Having said that, I think Radiator Springs Racers stands up pretty darn well to anything they've done at Universal. Disney is capable of doing great things, they just haven't been willing to do great things in Florida.

Or Mystic Manor for that matter. Haven't experienced it, but it looks like a ride I'd probably enjoy more than anything at Universal.

I have and it's impeccable. When and if (and it's looking a lot more like a when than if now) the spending faucet opens at WDW, there is nothing to fear in terms of the quality the lead teams at Imagineering can still produce. DCA 2.0, HKDL Grizzly Gulch/Mystic Point and Ratatouille are just a few of the recent projects that confirm that for me. All indications when the prejudice against the source material are put aside indicate Pandora will be along the same vein.

Far more pertinent to the actual topic at hand, I noticed nearmap has updated Disneyland aerials. I don't think we can be that far off an update for Animal Kingdom. The Disneyland ones are actually from June 8th, sort of neat since I'm somewhere in DCA.

Let me make it clear that I agree that Walt Disney World has not gotten the attention it should have in the last 10 years, but I am very hopeful that Disney is now turning it around and we are going to see some great things happening there. I may be one of the few, but I think the recent expansion of the Magic Kingdom was done very well, I am exited about what I have seen so far at Disney Springs, and I am looking forward to the River of Lights and Pandora. I sure want to see what comes out of D23 in August.

im hoping D23 shows us more details for Pandora as well as the future for DHS
WDW needs a blue sky cellar type of area ASAP!

The ride is good, but I do have many other rides I enjoy far greater than FJ. Not everyone has the same likes and dislikes. If you are someone who doesn't mind being tossed around in the air then yeah it's the greatest ride ever. People who have high motion sickness though will never be a fan. I'm a fan, but it's not my favorite ride.

The ride is ambitious and impressive but I have talked to many people who did not enjoy it and to quite a few who thought it was great. I got a headache after my first ride on it and wished it had ended a bit sooner. Also just missed stepping onto a prior rider's vomit when I got off. Tried again a year later thinking it might have been the wine I drank the night before but I still thought there was too much random jerking motion throughout. Seems like overuse of great innovative technology to me. I do enjoy thrill rides and rarely get motion sickness - I want to enjoy this ride, I just don't.

So it's the world's fault you can't handle it ;) I'm kidding. And I get it alot of people will find gentler rides far better but on a raw technological and Emersive level I can't think of much better.

Nobody's fault but mine (actually I drank some wine the night before my second ride on it too - it is a vacation thing). Funny thing is I can ride the Rip Ride Rockit or Dr. doom all day.

In terms of the ride vehicle I think FJ is really impressive, but in terms of effects used during a ride, mystic manor takes the cake! Just my opinion though

Like everyone else here, I'm 'bout to explode for the lack of aerials.
I'm heading to Orlando on july the 9th and will be staying for the best part of a month. The first two weeks I'm guiding a client, so some of the days I'll be busy, but on others I'm "off duty". The last two weeks, I'm with wife, kid and in-law family, but again I do have some days off.
SOOOO I was wondering if anybody out there would be interested in splitting the bill for a helicopter-trip to AK. This way we can help the "aerial-starving" masses.
How about it? Anyone??
