Just to add to this conversation, I saw on Jim Hill Media that he just walked through DAK the other day and took some photographs as he walked through the park. He stated in his write-up that his contacts in imagineering told him that the main show building is expected to be enclosed with regular walls within 60 days from now so that more extensive work can begin on the inside of the structure.

For the Soarin building that is totally plausible. Most of the framework is complete and the outside walls should go on pretty quick.

I could have told you that, lol. Within 2 months, they'll have the metal stud framing or masonry walls up (or going up) around the E-Ticket facility, so they can get it enclosed and weathertight.

The equipment can all be built inside later?

I guess they also need to do it to keep the banshees from flying away.

I'm not the be-all or end-of by any stretch of the imagination, but everyone I've talked to about it either can't comfirm or says it isn't in phase one.

And yes, I want it too.
Wow, well thanks for the information! I also read about it not being part of phase 1, but with everyone talking about it being constructed now I just figured it was planned for the opening. Wishful thinking I suppose!

Interesting, I didn't realize the rumor that it won't be in phase 1 was still active. If it does end up being an entirely indoor attraction they could easily build the basic structure now but leave everything else until later.

Really? Wow. I trust what you have to say, Martin, which makes this news disturbing. In a park desperate for rides, one where they plan to extend the hours, they are really going to build a new "land" with only one ride? I can understand the cut from 3 rides to 2, but I would have thought that Cameron would pretty much demand that both rides be up and running from Day 1.

I would be shocked if both don't open at the same time
