Hey guys! I haven't posted in forever, so this may have already been discussed. But, I wanted to see if anyone knew anything about an Avatar/EPCOT connection.

A woman I work with knows one of the creative directors for EPCOT. She just told me there would be an Avatar attraction coming to the park, and it will be themed around nature/being green.

Please tell me this isn't true!!!

As far as I know this is false. Also and Avatar attraction in Epcot is a terrible idea imo. It would make no sense what so ever.

Sounds like she made it up. There would be no reason for this.

I agree there is no way it makes any sense to put it in Epcot. TL maybe but the only thing I think really fits is DHS. If they put in Epcot it would be the final nail in the coffin for the theme of EC.

Sigh of relief!

Thanks guys! I just learned that this girl doesn't know the difference between Universal Studios and WDW....so her credibility is pretty much shredded. This would be a horrible idea, and I agree that it would definitely be the nail in the coffin for what the park was originally supposed to be. Avatar is cool and all, but it soooooo doesn't belong.

Of the few CM's I know and run into. Maybe 1 out of 50 have some clue as to what is going on. And that clue is maybe only half accurate at best.

I think it fits. Look at The Land pavilion for example, which celebrates land. If they focused more on the part of Avatar that celebrates the Na'vis relationship with the land then it would fit into Epcot. It could also provide a lesson on how we can protect our land.

On the bright side, if it did happen, you'd all get to see a person's head spontaneously explode like in the movie Scanners. That'd probably be interesting to watch. I'd prefer to keep my head, though.
