Autographs

I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy an autograph book. My DH2B and I are going on our honeymoon in August and I'm wondering if we would use an autograph book. I know that there probably are other adults who go to WDW without kids who get character autographs but I was just wondering about all of you. Do you as adults get character autographs? Also, does anyone know where we could get a relatively cheap autograph book online prior to our trip if we decide to use one?

Sorry to bump - just didn't want to star a new thread for this simple question:
Why does Buzz Lightyear use a stamp to sign autographs? We told our pastor's son we would bring back Cuzz's autograph for him, and I just read somewhere that he stamps instead of signs it. He has gloves that would make him able to hold a pen - doesn he?

Um, Buzz doesn't really have gloves, per se. Besides, toys are too cool for pens.:lookaroun

Oh, I am almost positive you could get them at DTD- you can get everything there. They are big size-wise, but have a lot less pages then the non-photo autograph books.

It is kind of hard to explain...you'll just have to look closely at his hands to see what I am talking about....his sleeve kind of covers half of his hand and there is some kind of seperator between his thumb and first finger that would make it hard to hold a pen. The Incrdedibles also use a stamp, but I did not look closely enough at their hands to see why.

That's interesting! The incredibles at Disneyland actually sign. I'm not sure about Buzz at Disneyland.:)

Buzz Lightyear is a toy from the future. It's just so much cooler to stamp your name rather than waste all that time signing it manually. :)

On my trip in April I dug out my autograph book from my first trip and took it. It only had like 7 autographs in it. But on my trip I only got two autograph's one from Mulan and one from Stitch. But, it didn't really matter that it was only two because I showed them to almost everybody.

You will find these books everywhere. I tried in vain to get on before my trip to save some time but could not. I had never noticed how prevalent they were in prior trips since I never wanted one. It was around $10, maybe a little more. My 4 yo loved it.

You might bring your own pen, the pens they sell are neato, but steep.

As for getting them without kids, do what you want and have fun.

This is good to know. We have some autograph books from previous trips but each of them have Minnie & Chip & Dale in them so many times it's getting ridiculous.

I would definitely like a photo-autograph book for the next trip and had no idea WDW sold them!

Take it from someone who's friends with a lot of Disney characters "best friends."

Autographs kill the character experience, especially when dealing with a face character like Cinderella. As nice as an autograph may be, I promise you a real conversation with a Disney princess or Cruella DeVil will be a much better, more exciting and happy memory than having them sign your book.

If you have a video camera, have someone hold it every time you meet a character. Ask the character a question or two, play along and really have a quality moment with them. If you must have them sign a book, do it as an afterthought, not as the purpose of your visit. This will not only brighten the character's day, but it will give a you a much more magical and lasting memory than a scribbled "autograph" will ever provide.

Just my two cents.
