I'm a chicken too, I can't handle any "drops" - I love Pirates, but dread riding it because of the small drop in the dark. I read where its 14 feet and I'm already scaring myself into not riding it.

What's your problem with drops?

I don't know if you've ever ridden Pirates or not, but the drop on it's not bad, it's pretty smooth and not steep.

Saying test track isn't a coaster is like saying DINOSAUR is a simulator ride :zipit:
Oh...why am I doing this... *clears throat*

A roller coaster, as its name implies, involves a vehicle that is lifted (or launched) up an incline, and then proceeds along the rest of the track un-powered (or coasting). Test Track vehicles are powered for the entirety of the ride, therfore (and for a few other reasons as well), it is not a coaster.

And, DINOSAUR is not actually a simulator ride in the traditional sense. The ride vehicle is known as an "Enhanced Motion Vehicle."

As the good Captain stated...there is nothing even remotely coaster-like about Test Track. In fact, I'd go as far as to say Test Track is closer to an EMV attraction than anything else...and even that isn't really accurate.

Good breakdown, Captain. Though, the way this thread has been going, I'm not sure it's going to do much to sway the opinions of some...or should I say one...

I was thinking about replying to OP, but it looks like an argument broke out about roller coasters on the final couple pages of the thread!

To OP: I wouldn't skip anything. There are some things that our family has tried and didn't like, but we wouldn't recommend to anyone to skip them based solely on our opinion. So try everything for yourself and enjoy!

The the last couple of posters: You guys certainly know a LOT more about coasters, motion simulators, and other types of rides. I'm impressed!

If its your first time try not to skip anything, after being a few times rides i used to hate i now like. Also we have all had to suffer Stich at MK and so should you. I was excited when Stich first opened, I thought nothing could be as bad as alien encounter!!!!!!!

Stitch is just a waste of time

Honey i shrunk the Kids is an outdated scratchy old boring show.

Figments ride is so not Why cannot they make him a better attraction, he is such a cute little feller

?? Prince of Narnia what is that and the waste of time

These are our opinions and not meant to start a fight...

Keep in mind as you read this that we don't have kids..yet.

MK
Tom Sawyer Island
Swiss Family Treehouse
Dumbo
Astro Orbitor
Stitch's Great Escape (once was enough)
Aladdin's Magic Carpets
Splash Mountain (only if it's below 50 degrees outside)
Teacups (only when I was a kid....I don't do dizzy)
Carosel (only as a kid)

DHS
American Idol
Sounds Dangerous
Star Tours (once was enough)
Backlot Tour (no reason to go again since they gutted it)
The Little Mermaid (once was enough)
Beauty and the Beast (once was enough)
Fantasmic (once was enough)
Playhouse Disney
LMA (once was enough)

AK
Nemo (once was enough)
Conservation Station (once was enough)
KS (when it's below 65 degrees)
Dinosaur (once was enough)
Triceratops Spin

EP
Honey I Shrunk the Audience (currently not operating, but due to return)
The movies in Canada, China, and France
Ellen's Universe of Energy (once was enough)
Spaceship Earth (I hate the new version)
Malestrom (once was enough)
Grand Fiesta Tour (once was enough)

So there's my list. At some point we will get around to seeing and doing everything at least once, but we have our favorites and prefer to go with the flow. :animwink:

I don't think I would want to do that either.

As for me:

MK:
Stitch, MILF, Astro/Dumbo/Carpets (we usually do one but not all), Treehouse

Epcot:
Test Track from time to time, Italy, UK, rarely spend any time in Innoventions anymore.

AK:
Generally we do everything here because there is just enough to fill a day. Sometimes we miss either the Lion King or Nemo shows though.

MGM:
Prince Caspian, Backlot Tour, the Stunt Show...

best reply on this thread! just dont take any advice and enjoy your day! these Disney "nerds" think too hard on the attractions and judge them without trying to basically enjoy the ride! They look at how "outdated" and how "celebrities" were put in place of an original attraction. Country Bear Jamboree is one of the very few and best disney classics left by the way, DON'T MISS THAT SHOW! :animwink: animatronic shows NEVER disapoint me! Unless it's not, well, Disney style.

Agreed

1. It's too short.
2. Very bumpy.
3. not worth waiting in line or 45 minutes.

but this is just my opinion.

Wait a minute...how can you condemn somebody for "think(ing) too hard on the attractions and judge them without trying to basically enjoy the ride," and in the next post complain about BTMRR? I hope that you actually do ride it and are merely saying that it's not worth waiting for an excessive amount of time.
