Ahh .. the refreshing Magic of Disney. I really feel the magic as soon as we land in Orlando on the plane - the airport is so awesome (especially the monorail-trains). Then onward towards the hotels where at check-in the hosts usually tell us what's been going on (it was like going back to an old home and meeting your friends once again) SO MAGICAL!!!!! :)

I couldn't possibly vote. I live disney, eat Disney, breathe Disney, drink Disney, sleep Disney, and everything else Disney. I've devoted an entire closet in my apartment with photos that I've taken of theme parks. I like to go in there and take out a chunk of Disney photos and just stare at them, trying to remember all the details of them.

Griz, you need to add another option to the vote - 'ALL OF THE ABOVE!'

We get as much of a kick looking back at previous years as we do planning the next one (8th December, here we come!)

The magic never quite goes away...

For me its definitely when we go to Downtown Disney, but that's just because we always go there the first night. That's when it really hits me, and by hit, I mean knowing that this place is the home to some of my most fondest memories, with friends and family alike. Also, when we arrive home, I begin feeling really nostalgic, as if i wanted to go back in time and live in the moment w/ my loved ones forever. If that's not magic then I'm clueless as to what magic is!

I love the planning. The anticipation is the best!!!! So I voted for planning. BUT.... That very first day, driving under the HUGE Walt Disney World sign sends my heart racing and seeing the castle for the first time is the best. We are planning a trip for next year and I just LOVE knowing I'm going.

I have to agree with all who have said it's as soon as I drive onto WDW proper - and see those Purple/red/yellow/black signs! Does anyone else feel a real let-down when you leave at the end of a trip. Back to the real world...sigh :(

My wife was looking over my shoulder when I read this response. She says, "Um, it never ended.".

For me it has to be when you catch that first glimps of the Castle from the Monorail. That is when it really hits me. I just know I'm gonna  when my kids see it for the first time and are all excited. Only 20 more days but who is counting?

When we approach the WDW Welcome Center in Ocala. I get so giddy, I have goosebumps, and a certain excitement one feels when something really, really good happens to them.

When I used to be a guest, the magic always hit me when we went under the "Walt Disney World" arches which was when you are officially on Disney grounds. Nothing was better than that.

Now, the magic hits me every time I put a smile on a child's face, or when I make a child's day because they've been waiting their whole vacation to see me (If you can't tell now, i'm "friends" with some special people in the park!) kind of like that Disney commercial where the girl goes up to Mickey and says, "I've been waiting my WHOLE LIFE to meet you!" that's the best part.

That's a job I would like - however it's not going to happen as I'm British and I can't work out how anyone can live on the wages of friendship alone. I salute you

For some odd reason, the Magic hits me at the Orlando Airport as I am riding the Airport Monorail to the baggage claim area. :)

I would have to say when I am entering the WDW property and drive under the signs that say "Walt Disney World".

Other times it hits are when I see kids going crazy (in a good way) when they see their favorite charaters.

For me, the magic doesn't hit me until COP. We always start at MK's Tomorrowland and hit COP right away. It's one of my faves. I'm not sure what it is about that ride but I think it's one of the best.
