Article about a Lost attraction

No love for the idea here.

Despite the fact that Tom Sawyer is "not even retro-cool" it is something that is a lasting piece of Americana.

15 years from now, I doubt many people will be as insane about LOST as they are now.

If we followed this logic we would have the A-Team ride, Fantasy Island, and the Love Boat cruise.

That would make me HAPPY!
Not sure what all the panic is about regarding Magic Kingdom. This article is about Disneyland.

And I don't see it happening in a million years. You wouldn't exactly feel like you were "Lost" when you have canoes, a riverboat, and a pirate ship, all full of people, circling around you.
Panic, drama, chaos..people love that here...

Anything to get people all in an uproar and then start complaining about everything else Disney is doing wrong...

Love this idea. They can do so much with Lost. Only wish it would be coming to MK/DHS. Call me crazy, but DHARMA and the Universe of Energy fit hand and hand.

I hope this is true.

To me, this sounds like something WDW can do. They can set up a site somewhere on property, and let all the obsessed need a hobby fans, go to and just run around. As far as DL and TSI is concerned, leave it alone. Replacing it and putting lost there, would be stupid and absolute crap. Hope I never see it happen.

LOST or MYST

Once upon a time there were rumors about bringing the video game Myst to to Disney World.

Not to MK, but somewhere else on property, anyone know that story, maybe that piece of real estate is still available for LOST, or did they build a DVC resort in that space.

If an attraction was to be build it should seem like it is away from everything not in an area with such high traffic. It would ruin the effect of being on an island. Now to the people who don't like lost did you also like star wars or indiana jones. Like it or not these movies also had a limited adiance. Today they are more respected and loved. There are many things that have happened on the show that would make a great ride. i already know that the ride vehicle should be a blue van. To get to the point, people don't care what the ride is themed as they care that the ride is good. If they could make something really amazing for lost at the parks people will do it. We are not the normal disney visiters just remember that.

Well, I feel the need to be a weird kind of Devil's Advocate: I have never seen a single episode of the show, so I am in no way any type of rabid fan. BUT.... That being said, without knowing what today's attraction is like, how many people would have supported the idea of a "Twilight Zone" themed ride/attraction? I know I would have thought it was crazy, and a terribly outdated show that is only in reruns. Just goes to show that a good attraction can be created around pretty much any show/idea, as long as the right time, money, and development is put into it. :)

True, but theming and placement are also factors to consider. This Lost concept would work better at DHS or on Discovery Island rather than in the middle of Frontierland and Liberty Square. As far as the concept itself? Meh, if its done properly, I don't see why it couldn't work to some degree, but placement is key, and I don;t think TSI is the right location for it.

Yeah, but it's ending on purpose. They designed it with a beginning, middle and end, with the end date decided on 2 years ago.
Not like it's getting cancelled or anything.
Ah, I did not know that. Never gotten into Lost.

A high crime, to you, I know.

No.
Sopranos is second only to Seinfeld for failure endings.

Worst ending EVER!...I was not a happy girl!

I didn't mind the ending to Seinfeld. The show was random, it ended randomly.
