arrest at EPCOT

I'd bet it was shop lifting. I have had to drive a number of families to the Orange County jail near Downtown Orlando because a family member stole merchandise.

I remember once I had to drive this 92 year old woman after her daughter and her daughter's friend stole roughly $12,000 in merchandise.

If the "dude" required handcuffing then I doubt it would be for shopllifting. Why escort them from a shop within EPCOT without cuffs (too many opportunites to run off) only to put them on before being placed in a squad car

Another thing that happens according to some CM's I've talked to is people using counterfeit money. Can you think of a better place to burn through money quickly?

He could have been escorted out by Disney Security (and most likely by several of them), who are not equipped with most of the standard police gear. With most police departments, it is standard practice to handcuff anyone being arrested at any age for any reason. So, whether it is a 50-year old being arrested for murder or a 12-year old for littering, they will most likely be cuffed.

Wow, I don't know if I've ever heard of someone being escorted out for this, though I'm sure it happens all the time.

are you sure your thinking of the right "one" when they said "smoke one" I am positive they would be escorted out.....or asked to pass it around....:ROFLOL:

I often wondered about things like shoplifting at WDW. I worked in retail and we worked hard to stop shoplifting. I look at WDW and a lot of stores / kiosks look like shoplifters could grab things as they pass by in large crowds.

BTW When I was there in July I saw a dudette. But you have to figure that the odds were good cause the park was full of people

I was at WDW last week and a motorcycle cut off the bus we were riding on. The driver had to slam on his brakes and lay on his horn. The dude on the bike actually turned around and chased our bus!
