Well, I just realized that after I planned out my whole experience, it broke the one main rule of making it a ride through the LA streets, so I regretfully believe that I will not be participating in this challenge, because I can't do it all over again in a couple hours with school tomorrow. Sorry

My 2 cents again, she did say that you only had to use the description and the name...even with a convoluted excuse, your concept could be awesome. Why not post it anyway and let Red be the judge? Worst case is you don't place...which if she thinks you didn't meet the guidelines and dismisses it, you wouldn't place anyway.

I'm only saying that because I'd like to see it. (not that my opinion matters)

After around an hour of watching the original ride on youtube, my brain is fried, so I'm just curious how this ride could have been great! :p

No problem. I just needed to know when I needed to sneak out of my nap so I can check my phone.
I'll be at work. That is gonna put a huge hamper on this coming week for me in this comp, as I won't be able to focus so much on churning out content.

Not that I'll not submit! I'd rather submit crud and lose than submit nothing! <grin>

Anything but THAT…

Superstar Limo will finally make its long awaited and long anticipated return to Hollywood Land at Disney’s California Adventure as Superstar Limo ! Stage 12 in the North East Corner of the park will be demolished for a new show building to be built. While the new reincarnation of Superstar Limo will have the same overall theme: "A ride through LA's Star-studded Streets". The new Superstar Limo will lose the cheap, “fun house style” animated figures; the plot will also receive a complete overhaul. The new Superstar Limo will transport guests back to the Golden Age of Hollywood, evoking a Noir theme throughout the ride, letting guest experience what the old Hollywood felt like.

Ride Vehicles: Old 1950’s Limos:
2.1.jpg

Queue: Once guest enter through an art deco inspired facade, they find themselves winding through a queue dedicated to the great black and white films of Hollywood's Golden Age. Seeing old posters and props from those films.

The Ride:
1. The Ride begins with guest entering their Limousines. They depart the loading station into a dim lit, alley way with Jazz Noir music playing. The narrator says “The year is 1942, the place: Hollywood”. As they turn the corner of the alley way, they are on a side street looking down towards a large movie theatre where the premier of a movie is happening. The lights at the theatre are bright and shine into the dark alley way. Outside the theatre, there is a lot as energy as eager people wait to get in.
2.3.jpg

2. The Limo proceeds towards the theatre but then turns left, through doors, into a club. (we will be returning to the streets in a mere two show scenes do not worry...) There is Jazz band playing in front of a quiet crowd of people sitting at small round tables. Some people are in conversation, some are admiring the music, and some are passed out on the tables. The narrator speaks again: “Hollywood is alive with the movies, and all the glitz and the glamour that come with them.”
2.4.jpg

3. The Limo then goes out the side door of the Club into a smoke filled detective’s office. There are two people sitting at the detective’s desk asking the detective to help them find the person who robbed them. They describe the robbery and the man as the detective writes and draws on his pad of paper. The narrator begins to talk again: “But with all the fame came the corruption and the crime.”
Capture8.JPG

4. The Limo drives out of the detective’s office back onto the streets of Los Angeles. There you witness the LAPD as they have pulled over someone. A crowd of people on the opposite side walk watch and make comments about the car; apparently it is a movie star’s they eagerly wait to get a glimpse of the star.
Capture8888.JPG

5. Next, the Limo drives around a corner where you find a crowd of people swarming actors and actresses asking for their autographs while cameras are flashing. The narrator says, “Hollywood turned talent and opportunity into fame and glory for many.”
2.8.jpg

6. You now enter street going through a Movie Studio where you watch see filming going on, and a fight erupt between a movie star and the director. It begins to slightly rain prompting reaction from the cast members and crew.
2.9.jpg

7. The Limo then exits the movie studio entering a quiet road along a small park where there is a couple talking and holding hands, even while the rain is coming down. “But above all, Hollywood had romance” says the narrator.
2.10.jpg

8. The Limo then goes up the road up some hills, into the Hollywood Hills area allowing guests to look down into a replica of Los Angeles (Like London on Peter Pan’s Flight). The Limos then pull out and begin a descent down the hills as the sky above them begins to twinkle… a star-studded sky… The Noir Jazz music ends and the narrator talks about Hollywood and Los Angeles: “Years come and go in Hollywood as the time passes. While the people and places change, the Hollywood state of mind never is forgotten. Los Angeles was and always will be the greatest city of them all.” The ride ends as you enter the unloading zone.
2.11.jpg

Overview: The entire ride will have numerous realistic looking animatronics that have a full range of motion adding to the realism of the ride. There will be numerous side conversations between the animatronics going on as well. The overall ride will be geared for adults and teenagers as it might be spooky for very young children.

How unique!

I would love to see that view from Hollywood Hills (the Peter Pan London scene is among my favorites, just like the Progress City scene at WDW on the peoplemover...I love model cities!).

Great take, and VERY interesting!

The only thing that popped in my mind is how cool this would be as a tie in with the Tower of Terror!

I like it! I would be interested in work with you in the future and that idea I brilliant. We could track nuclear fission and fission, the technology behind rail guns and how all this could play a positive effect on the future

Well, it was largely a joke, but I do have a great appreciation for the contributions of weapons tech (my father works at SRS, for example...I'm not ignorant of nuclear science, even though I'm not a nuclear scientist by any stretch of the imagination...but, I grew up with it).

I've skirted the edges of it in the past when I was an SAIC contractor...and yes, it is interesting.

Also, I think you meant fusion and fission, not fission and fission. :p
