I think what would help the Pixar Pier idea be a lot better would be to center it on one IP or setting.

"Pixar" isn't a theme. It's a studio. The movies all take place in wildly different universes and settings and time periods. Marvel or Muppets work as a unifying theme because they are one universe/world. Pixar doesn't.

Obvious answer would be Toy Story Pier. Keep the same aesthetic style of Toy Story Mania. A slight toyified version of a classic California pier. But don't go as garish or tacky as the critter carousel looks. Keep it subtle and classy.

Woody hosts Toy Story Mania. Jessie does host the carousel (but no giant statue and keep it looking like a standard carousel just with critter instead of sea creatures). Buzz hosts Screaming (kept mostly the same just with some LGMs repairing parts of the coaster and the coaster cars given a purple/green color scheme). Wheezy singing jazzy music somewhere. The carousel gets the Pixar Yellow Ball on the face of it. One of the Toy Story Land flat rides placed where the inside out ride is going. Etc.

Or better yet, don't tie it to an IP when IP doesn't fit there.

I kinda do! But that doesn't make them work as the same setting. It would be like a Marvel land when all you're allowed to use is Agent Carter, Gaurdians of the Galaxy, and the Lego Batman Movie. Sure you can justify them all being the same universe,doesn't make it work together well.

Personally, I believe that all Pixar films take place in the same universe, just not in the overly complicated way the theory puts it.

I vote Davy Crockett's Cabins. And extension of Fort Wilderness. But more fancy cabins.

Definitely step one. And I'd turn Star Tours into a Simulator simulating a Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Space Mountain can turn back into From The Earth to The Moon while Star Wars and Buzz Lightyear can move over to WDS. In place of Buzz would be The Time Machine and replacing Star Tours would be a suspended dark ride; either The Island at the Top of the World or Around the World in 80 Days. I would also have Pizza Planet replaced by either an authentic Italian TSR, set in Da Vinci’s workshop or a CoP esque attraction with Jules Verne and Professor Marvel.

Well, to name it "Bay" it implies at the very least a rather large lake. I think keeping the name the same is better because a large lake would take up space that should be used by attractions in a land that doesn't need more water imo
