I don't think the Fantasyland theater is going to be used for Frozen. My guess is the left half of ToonTown becomes Arendelle with entrance to the new show building. The theater could be used for BATB or Tangle.

That sounds like a reasonable assumption, especially with the DLRR winding between the two areas. Looking at the TDS concept art for Arendale it's not hard to envision it sitting adjacent to WDW's Beauty and The Beast mini-land. Bring it on.

How do we know that? Was any official information given on that or is it just fan conjecture? For all we know, we could be getting another Winnie the Pooh.
Wdw1974 and micechat have both stated that this is an eticket ride due to it being a clone of the Tokyo attraction. If you don't believe them that's on you but I am just repeating what has been stated.

Having visited DL and WDW many times in the 70s when A-E coupons were being used I can assure you that the Frozen ride at EPCOT would not have been considered a D ticket.
Well today it is given that's when it debuted having ridden it i can say it's a solid d ticket.

Now you are talking fan conjecture as batb and tangled have not been hinted at for dl at all.

You really think Arendelle is accessed via the Theater rather than via Toontown? That would require another rail-crossing solution...

Man that area is getting crowded. Could be an exciting intersection. Or could just have a lot of walls hiding each area from each other.

There's quite a bit of land there, at least several acres, if not 10 acres when it's all pieced together including the Theater complex. And the Anaheim and Tokyo parks are both masters at fitting in connections and common areas that lead to hidden large ride warehouses. Just look at what they did wedging in Indiana Jones between 1955's Jungle Cruise & Railroad, 1962's Treehouse, and 1967's Pirates.

There are many examples of Disneyland expansion going over and under and through the Disneyland Railroad right of way; Grand Canyon Diorama '58, Nature's Wonderland '60, New Orleans Square & Pirates '66, Haunted Mansion '62-'69, Small World '66, Bear Country '72, Splash Mountain '89, Indiana Jones '95.

That they have designed and built the new railroad route while carving out Star Wars and the Future Expansion pad only means the Imagineers have the luxury of time and space and budget they didn't have on those previous projects. And the way they do rockwork and scenery in the 21st century (Cars Land, Avatar) means it will be far more impressive looking than their 20th century forefathers who did simple shot-crete layers over chicken wire forms.

Compared to what they've done before, Anaheim's version of Arendelle should be a project given luxurious space and acreage to use and display.

So apparently there is another ride coming to DLR that we don't know about? Martin said there was something coming in the GMR/Mickey Ride thread, but was very cryptic. Seems like it could be connection with the FL expansion/Toontown reduction. I have a feeling now that TDA has more autonomy, they will do more projects with Tokyo. The way they run their parks seems much more in common than it was between TDA and TDO, plus they can share development costs. Maybe it will be a BATB ride (the live-action movie should be a monster hit next year).

Martin was referring to the Mickey ride replacing GMR. It's also slated for DL, but longer term, so we'd be looking at after Frozen and Marvel and Star Wars.

I'm glad they are thinking about putting a Mickey ride at Disneyland. I brought that up in a thread a couple of weeks ago not thinking much of it, but there's now a chance it will finally come true. Doesn't make sense that biggest character in Disney doesn't have his own ride.

Not entirely. It goes in to the "FUTURE EXPANSION" space that the famous Miceage Update map from last year showed. It's the box wedged between Toontown and the Millenium Falcon ride, and it's accesses via the current Fantasyland Theater area behind StorybookLand. Here's the Miceage map from 2015.

And again I have to say, that old Miceage map just looks more and more accurate by the day. It really was a scoop when they dropped that into an Update last year!

And here's an aerial of cleared land from six weeks ago, with the Star Wars footprint overlaid onto it. Frozen/Arendelle area would be left open after the Star Wars dust settles and Star Wars Land opens.

I can't imagine why they would want to save ToonTown. Even if it's not used for Frozen, I hope it goes for some other expansion.

I thought both Mice Age and Spirit have stated this would involve the Eastern half of Toontown (Roger would be spared) and that surprisingly this wouldn't take out the Wonder bra. A guest thoroughfare could also then be achieved between Arrendale and the South West Star Wars entrance. Finally creating a full outer ring to Disneyland.

I wonder if there is any chance Disney could eventually buy the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel and the adjacent buildings and move some of the service buildings as well as the fireworks launch pad over there. This would free up some additional room for expansion in the near future. There wouldn't be a need to shut down attractions if fireworks were moved to the other side of Ball Rd. The only thing that would hamper that is the visibility on the 5.
