Purple Dragon is my new best friend! :)

god I hate Stitch. I just got home from Disney and the amount of stitch junk that was all over the park was jsut irritating.

the part that I hated the most was seeing tons of stitch at my favorite resort, the Poly.

and it's clear that all this overadvertising isnt' doing much, since every time I walked past that ride the line was empty. (and I also refuse to go on it because stitch is the worst character ever)

the rest of the trip however, was perfect! (althought the haunted Mansion desperately needs a facelift, and a new sound system, the sound was low and the timing between rooms/speakers was off alot of the time. It was like hearing "grim grinning ghosts" sung in rounds.

His movie came out almost 3 years ago, he wasn't even that popular then.
Pinnochio came out over sixty years ago and he was not popular then (compared to the runaway success of Snow White). ;)

There are worse things in the world to be “sick” of than an animated character. If you don’t like Stitch, walk on by, there are plenty more characters and attractions in the parks for you to enjoy.

Though I can’t honestly comment on whether they have gone overboard on merchandising and advertising as it’s been over three months since I was last there.

Ok l like stitch and some of the promos the use of him around the park are quite funny, but the tp and junk lying all over the park was distasteful ,but as much as l like stitch,he gives a little new pep to situations, but we can't forget that it was all started by a mouse (my vote was that l didn't care, hopefully by next year it will all be a memory)

Reports, reports, reports. Are you basing your opinion off of reports? Because you are making a mistake. I experienced SGE for the first time on Dec 30, and I thought it was very entertaining. All I heard before my trip was that it is crap, but after I saw it i thopught it was great, so please don't base your opinion on things that other people say.

Also, SGE must be a boatfull of lemons, because i did not see the wait time go below an hour while I was there. I do agree that he is being a bit over used, but it's good marketing.

Every new ride has an hour or more wait time, because eveyone wants to see what all the hype is about.

Look at one one of my previous posts in this thread, it has links to threads on this site where dozens of people have posted their opinions as well as posted articles from the Orlando Sentinal that outlined the design flaws of the ride and the negative feedback Disney has been receiving about the attraction. Thats proof enough for me, I see no mistake here!

If you think I'm wrong simply because you personally like the ride, then YOU are the one making the mistake here.

I'm not talking directly about the attraction, I'm talking about the massive marketing campaign Disney is taking to try and make this character popular.

But if you walk away from Stitch, you'll only turn around to see another reference behind you!

(Sorry. Had to. :D )

I'm beyond sick of Stitch. Give it up and move onto something better. (and please don't start with the "what's better," because everything can be better if Disney gives them the budget for it.

AMEN!!!!!!

I walked out of a full theater, and no one had that "That was a good ride" face on. The only people laughing while walking out were a part of my party because all I could say was "wow" (in a let-down sort of way).

Every time I heard "Welcome to Stitch Kingdom," I wanted to jump out of my skin.

After riding SGE, every time I rode the monorail and the guy said, "And you won't want to miss Stitch's Great Escape," I always told everybody in my car, "Yes you want to miss it. Trust me."
Are you serious? "Welcome to Stitch Kingdom?!"

Grizz, the "Welcome to Stitch Kingdom" can be heard on the monorail heading into the MK. Luckily I didn't take this on my last trip as I would've said something.

I'm thinking walking would be better. I'm sure Stitch can find a way to take over the ferry, if he hasn't already. Is he on there anyway yet, by picture, sound, anything?

Hopfully with the 50th anniversary they completely change their subject and market something else. Although, the way it looks right now, they make a big enough clip in the DL commercial with stitch in it, and even end it with him.

You keep harping on all of this "negative feedback" that Disney has received and yet you can't provide any support.

Dozens of people on a discussion board with negative views? Sure, they're more than valid but how many people visited the Magic Kingdom last year?

An opinion piece in the newspaper? Again, it's valid but that doesn't translate into thousands of negative responses to the ride.

The thing that p*sses me off are the people that say "Oh I hate the Stitch ride" and then when you ask if they've ridden it. "Oh no, not yet, but I've heard nothing but bad reviews." That really irks me.
