Are Some Online Disney Fans Obsessive Compulsive?

If jealousy were at all an issue for me, it'd be jealousy of people who don't realize the things that I do. The term 'ignorance is bliss' is so true throughout life. I wish I didn't know the state of some things at WDW. I wish I could go, spend, and be in the utter state of bliss.

I fuss because I'm disappointed and, as others have stated, aggravated.

I discuss on a discussion forum because that's what we're supposed to do here. I'm not a hateful or demeaning person. I don't do the whole argumentative thing. I have teenagers. I get my fill from them.

I do point out the positives when appropriate.

I choose to try other Disney vacations because I still have some level of ignorance to enjoy the bliss of still possessing in those places.

I do not have OCD. Passionate? Yes. Obsessed? Nah. I could walk away at any time. I do have other interests.... :animwink:

I don't know if my sour grapes theory applies to people from the Florida area. I would have to administer my McDonald's theory.

Meaning.

When people who love McDonald's get a job there, all they do at first is enjoy the delights of said fast food until they become sick of it. So sick of it, the just don't care to eat it much if at all. Now if a new item becomes available on the menu, they become the McDonald's fan yet again, but alas, it is a short, yet relished, occurance.

Yeah, I like the McDonald's theory.

Lol.

Now I'm going to make your life extremely difficult and require one more theorem.

How about people who are recently relocated and can't have Sour Grapes, but aren't yet to a McDonalds state of being.

I realize this is a small percentage of people, but we exist. :)

I think Jimmy has it backwards, actually.. Those who go all the time can see the decline because they are more aware of their surroundings.. Those who go once every 5 years will not see the decline... I go every year (thank you DVC) and I noticed the decline over the last 5 years... Been going every year since 2002... Jimbo, once again, you are wrong :)

What is this all about?

Obsessive? YES.
Compulsive? MAYBE.
All Disney fans OCD? NO.
Online Disney fans, most of them, want to share their ideas, experiences, and knowledge of all things Disney!:)

Maybe someone can help me with this disorder I have. When I exit RnRC, why do I feel compelled to once more ride ToT; and, after exiting ToT, again make that right turn to RnRC, followed by another trip up to ToT! I cannot get a handle on this behavior! Why can I NOT break this vicious cycle? Do you think I could benefit from this online forum psychiatrist??:lookaroun

For the love of God, I just need to see some aerials....Please, I'm dying here. I've really enjoyed reading about cupcake stories and learning just how OCD all of us Disney Fans are but I just need aerials, where's that scuttle, or that Scott guy? I don’t care that there are people on here that have been banned because they don’t play well with others and have a miserable life so they like to find people covered in pixie dust to see if they can blow it off and somehow make their lives just as miserable …I just want aerials!

I am obsessed with WDW, but I think everyone else on here is as well, and its okay!
Yes we all get mad when we see construction walls up, and rides broken down and things less than perfect!
I am a perfectionist, so seeing missed firework cues makes me upset, and missing parade performers or lights out and people messing up! That's me!
BUT I also think about how amazing it is and that doesn't make me hate WDW! Because I know those things will get fixed! I always have an amazing time there! Those little imperfections don't make the vacation ruined!

(but I did see a lot of imperfections in April :p) BUT its okay :)
