Are Some Online Disney Fans Obsessive Compulsive?

And can I just add...I think it is wrong to take an actual disorder that some people struggle with..and use it to insult a group of people - just because you don't agree with their opinions. It's pretty low... My nephew has OCD, and it is certainly not something that should be thoughtlessly used to insult people...

I was not trying to insult anyone. I'm being serious.

I find it interesting that some people can become so devoted to a brand that they feel the brand can do no wrong and is above all criticism.
I find the exact opposite very interesting. That some people can become so devoted to a brand that they fell the brand can do no right and is beneath any complement.

I'm not arguing, just commenting on the different side of the coin that is particularly fascinating to me.

"Serious?" Trying to diagnose people through an online discussion forum? Serious is not the correct term....

Now trolling? That's a bit more accurate. Like you other posts, you were just trying to bring it all together in one mass insult.....

If you are being serious, you should hire a psychologist for an hour and work through your curiosity. On a forum on this...you are not asking for real answers to your alleged serious question - You are attempted to offend people.

Can he post on the forum too? I'm sure some people might benefit from talking to him.

I wouldn't call my love of Disney OCD. I have OCD, and Disney isn't on the list. I love it, and love talking about it, both good and bad. I consider it more of a passion than anything else.

However, there are some that definitely seem, shall we say, "closed-minded" about certain things. I started a thread last week about posters being obsessed with resorts. Copying and pasting the same exact statement about a resort to try and sell other posters on the resort. Recommending that resort even if it's not remotely close to what the OP is looking for. In other words, someone asks which Moderate they should choose, and someone suggests their favorite Deluxe.

I'm a new member. I've seen several new members be accused of that though. Signs of paranoia perhaps? Might be another symptom of some kind of disorder.

I would actually just admit to being a bitter ex-member even if it's not true. It'd make you look a lot better.

There's always people that will "dissrespect" the unwritten rules of these sites..Using the term OCD about Disney..IMO isnt offensive...I didnt take the poster as digging on a certain populace ...just observing that some people have very defined views of what a Disney trip should be..an in his/her opinion it seemed OCD..not sure why this would offend anyone..we are talking about Disney

I have stated in the past, and will stand by this statement in the future.

When people don't go to the parks as much as they want to, or are jealous of people who do go often, that is where you see much of this "Disney hate", or this declining by degrees bullwanka.

Don't know if its OCD, it could be termed DJD, Disney Jealousy Disorder though.

Jimmy Thick-Iam not a sufferer myself.

That's a broad generalization. I go plenty during the year, but if I see something that is off, I have no problem discussing it. It's not hate, it's simple observation.

Perhaps you're just not as observant as others.

Joined May 12. Interesting how you have seen other members accused of anything in your short time here.

My guess, you are just a reincarnated troll.
