I wasn't aware that OCD means not being happy or satisfied. I have OCD and am quite happy and satisfied with anything done right.

I see this thread getting locked. lol

I've just realized we've had this thread going close to 50 posts now, and with absolutely nothing Avengers-related in it.

There, better. Conversation may now resume.

When people don't go to the parks as much as they want to, or are jealous of people who do go often, that is where you see much of this "Disney hate", or this declining by degrees bullwanka.

Really? Where did you get this idea from?

I live 20 minutes from Disney and go whenever I want. Do I hate Disney? Obviously not. Do I see Disney declining by degrees? Consistently...

With that - the exterior refurbs at the Magic Kingdom are a welcome sight, but the company doesn't exactly want 40 year old buildings collapsing on themselves either. Nor do they want them to look as if they are 40 years old...

There is an easy way to get good information about most OCD posters. Just look at their join date and also look at their number of posts. Some people have been around for many years and post on an average of several times per day.

I was not trying to insult anyone. I'm being serious.

I took the liberty of identifying personality disorders that you could be clinically diagnosed with:

Antisocial personality disorder: pervasive disregard for the rights of others, lack of empathy, and criminal activity (the first two are spot on, have you stolen any cars lately  )

Borderline personality diorder: extreme black and white thinking, instability in relationships

Histrionic personality disorder: pervasive attension seeking behavior

Narcissistic personality disorder: a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy. Characterized by self-importance, preoccupations with fantasies, belief that they are special, including a sense of entitlement and a need for excessive admiration, and extreme levels of jealousy and arrogance.

WOW, when I first started this, I didn't think so many would apply to you

So, tell me something (actually I'm sure you won't because you do illustrate mild intelligence by at least avoiding points you couldn't possibly contend with), you ask why people go to Disney if all they do is complain about it. I'm sure there are things you complain about that can be applied in the same way. Like why do you continue to buy gas if you complain how much it costs, or live in a country you constanly complain is being poorly run? Or why do you continue to have discussions on a forum you constantly complain about? Hypocracy at its finest.

When people are passionate about something, they are likely to react in different ways. Some people think Disney's p o o p don't stink because they are passionate about Disney, and some point out every possible flaw because they are passionate about Disney. So despite our different views, we are all the same in this way. And neither view is without merit, but let's stick with the facts and opinions relevant to the discussion and not engage in uninspired and embarrassingly pathetic attempts to antagonize people.

I have stated in the past, and will stand by this statement in the future.

Don't know if its OCD, it could be termed DJD, Disney Jealousy Disorder though.

Jimmy Thick-Iam not a sufferer myself.

Unfounded generalization with no confirmable basis in reality. Way to stick with the facts :hammer:

How does this even make sense?

Aren't people who go more often more likely to notice the maintainance issues? I don't go very often, so I am completely unfamiliar with most of the complaints and thus have no opinion. I will say that I have seen more facts from those who complain about the maintainance compared to the general lack of facts from the opposition, which is why it is my tendency to side with the former. For me, I am mostly unsatisfied with the additions and changes made to the parks in the last ten years, but am entitled to feel that way. I can enjoy the overall experience even if I disagree with the strategies of current managment (let me remind you too that those strategies and can be related to maintainance or lack there of).

Am I jealous of others that go more often, no. Do I want to go more, sure. I just don't see how complaining and being jealous of those who go more are connected in any way.

One of the main issues is the claim that maintainance issues are not being addressed. So how can those who don't go often know what is not being addressed? And if they don't go often yet notice the same issues, it would legitimize the view that maintainance is lacking.

Its kind of hard to prove "declining by degrees" is "bullwanka" why you can't provide anything coherent or factual.

People buy gas because they have to. People go to Walt Disney World for fun. Completely unrelated concepts. No one has ever been forced to go to Walt Disney World.

The jealousy theory may hold some weight. It may explain some of the over the top negativity that is never balanced by anything remotely positive even when Disney does things they want like fix maintenance issues.

This being the case, you'll have to split the collective into two further groups; the bandwagon pessimists and those who have educated, valid points who do compliment where appropriate.

People have to buy gas?? How did they survive before motorized vehicles? I know plenty of people who ride the bus, ride a bicycle, or walk. Or you could just live in the woods seperate from society and be self reliant and sustaining. Buying gas is a choice. No one holds a gun to you at the pump. Its only different because you probaly complain about it and want to see it different to perpetuate your hysterical and hypocritical rants.

And I wonder if any of the people who notice the maintainance issues are CMs? Then they would "have to" go if they want to remain employed, and would disprove the jealousy theory.

And I have seen this "jealousy" theory brought up twice, but I haven't seen any evidence of any kind which means it currently holds no weight. There has been no explaination about how these things would even be related. I haven't even observed a correlation between the two, but even if you could it would not prove there is causation. Just because you develeope gas every time you hear Lady Gaga, doesn't mean the two are connected. Funny how you didn't address my points against the theory.

But that is one of the two things you are good at, avoiding points and repeating yourself.

How do you apply your Sour Grapes theory to people who live in Orlando?

I don't know if my sour grapes theory applies to people from the Florida area. I would have to administer my McDonald's theory.

Meaning.

When people who love McDonald's get a job there, all they do at first is enjoy the delights of said fast food until they become sick of it. So sick of it, the just don't care to eat it much if at all. Now if a new item becomes available on the menu, they become the McDonald's fan yet again, but alas, it is a short, yet relished, occurance.

Yeah, I like the McDonald's theory.
