Are park reservations going away?

We are currently at OKW renting points and all we've had is trash taken out daily. Today was our 4th day and nothing other than trash was done.
You're under DVC rules. Though call the front desk and ask for your towels. That's all you'll get unless you are there more than 7 nights.
Supposed to be a full cleaning/beds made/towels on the 4th day.
Only if you are there 8 nights or more. For stays 7 and under towels on day 4.

We were going to add a park day to our tickets for Friday, but since they are supposedly at capacity 🙄, nope.

Some reservations have been added to EPCOT if you were still looking.

Paid Fastpass didn't convince you?
Paid fastpass was still an extra. Park resevations are required for entry and failure to get a park reservation makes your ticket/ap worthless. They would get sued and especially in California with the consumer protection laws there, they would lose.

Yes, 4th and 8th day you receive services - but we have two levels of services. 4th day is called trash and towels (though many of us call it towels only due to trash being daily due to Vegas) if under 8 nights. If 8 nights or more 4th day is full cleaning and 8th day is towels. No where does that say you get full service on day 4. Sorry if you misunderstood when renting but that is the norm. 2. Housekeeping. Club Members or their Guests receive the following housekeeping service during a DVC
Resort stay reserved with Home Resort Vacation Points:
1) All Vacation Homes will be cleaned prior to check in.
2) For stays of seven (7) or less consecutive nights in the same Vacation Home, the DVC Resort will
provide a "Trash & Towel" service on the fourth consecutive day of the stay. During a "Trash & Towel"
service, housekeeping will:
• Empty the trash and put new liners in the trash bins.
• Provide fresh bathroom linens.
• Replace facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Replace coffee, sugar, cream, and sweeteners.
• Replace dish washing liquid, dish washing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent.
3) For stays of eight (8) consecutive nights or more in the same Vacation Home, the DVC Resort will
provide:
a) One (1) "Full Cleaning" service on the fourth consecutive day of the stay. During a full cleaning,
housekeeping will:
• Provide all of the services included in a "Trash & Towel" cleaning.
• Change the bed linens.
• Vacuum and dust the Vacation Home.
• Clean the Bathroom(s).
• Clean the Kitchen/Kitchenette and wash the dishes.
Full cleanings do not include laundering of personal items.
b) Following the initial Full Cleaning service, housekeeping will provide another Full Cleaning Service
every eight (8) consecutive days in the same Vacation Home.
c) Following the initial check in, a “Trash & Towel” will be provided every eight (8) consecutive days
reserved in the same Vacation Home.
4) For stays of more than eight (8) consecutive days in the same Vacation Home, the Full Cleaning/”Trash
& Towel” cycle will begin again.
5) Club Members and their Guests may request clean linens, toiletries, etc., by calling the DVC Resort's
housekeeping department. Additional fees may be charged for such requests. Supplemental cleaning
services are available for a fee and may be arranged through either Member Services or the DVC
Resort's front desk.
6) All Vacation Homes will be cleaned following check out.

I realize you fancy yourself a DVC expert, but the literature in DVC rooms needs to be much clearer for people who aren't DVC experts.

I don't fancy myself as an expert, just a long time owner so not sure why the animosity towards my reply. Who did you rent from? Most places I know spell this out in their verbiage.

To be fair it's not on Disney for this mix up. Their wording was in line with the official long wording I posted. Most staying are owners who had this in our literature. Those renting points for a stay should research and those renting points out should make note in their site or or somehow.

I would argue it is the responsibility of the points-user to understand what they get with their points. This information is widely understood among the DVC community.
I will say I've looked at sample contracts (rented out once to a friend of a friend when job changes took our vacations one year and had points that needed to be used) and the ones I saw had it spelled out too. I'd be surprised if someone/place didn't have it.

It’s also listed on any fan website that describes DVC to anyone interested in buying or renting. And yet I see people online who will say, “Just joined DVC! Now what?!?!”

I guess some people don’t research their purchases, but that’s their own fault. Do the bare minimum amount of research first. And certainly don’t be upset if you didn’t do that research first.

I rented points through donated points for a donation for a charity. There was no contract...but, please, do go on.

At a minimum, before I complain about not receiving something I feel I am owed, I go to google to see if I’m right or wrong. And it’s a simple search.

And I certainly don’t continue to be snappy with people upon learning I was in the wrong.

It does say “If you’re a DVC member staying on your Membership you’ll receive service on the 4th and 8th days”.

Now I realise you’re not a DVC member but as a renter you are counted as such, because you are staying on the owner’s membership.

I’m sorry you were not aware of this.

That is incredibly rude IMO.

@helenabear was simply explaining the DVC housekeeping service to you. Certainly no need to snap at her in that way.
