I am trying to figure this out for this years competition. See last year at MVMCP a mouse in the parade kissed me while Pinnochio's father figure kissed my girlfriend. Some characters are obvious but how can I tell for the ones that aren't so obvious which is a guy and which is a girl?

I can usually tell looking at their calves to their ankles. Us girls don't usually have man(ish) looking ankles and calves; we're not usually that thick.

Rob----how much could a 4'9" person get paid to have a great time?

I think Minnie Mouse is probably usually a female. Ever seen her autograph? I've never met a man who could produce such pretty handwriting complete with hearts, especially while wearing gloves.

Hey sort of off topic - but what happens if a character has to sneeze? Do they run out of the room and rip their head off or just sneeze all over the inside of the costume? EWW

LOL The handwriting thing is very true...I never thought of it that way...
Love Chip and Dale's heart....last time we were there you couldn't even read their signatures...I can't imagine signing autographs in 100 degree heat.

Next time take a good look at Mickey. I'd bet that most of the time Mickey is played by a girl. I might be wrong, but that's where I'd be putting my money. It would take a very tall woman to be Goofy though!

Okay.
Simple.
Mickey is a boy and has the vest on. Minnie is a girl and has teh bow on. Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Ariel... All girls.
Prince Charming, Philip... Beast... all boys.
Pinnochio... he's a boy. As is Pluto, Donald, Goofy, Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, Donald, Chip, Dale....

Well, I am dense. I took the original question to be asking about some of the parade characters, and I was thinking of those scary clowns in the Spectro Magic parade, and maybe some other characters whose gender may not be clear. It isn't like you can turn Piglet upside down and check for male or female. Ditto Chip & Dale, Meeko, Figaro, Country Bears Wendell, Liverlips and Shaker and STITCH! Not everyone is familiar with the characters from the cartoons, believe it or not.

So, never mind.

BTW, the clowns? Anybody know?

Thanks MKT

That's what I'm here for. Yes, children may read these boards, but if the kid is savvy enough to register an account on WDWMagic and read this, they're smart enough to know the truth about characters and a lot other worse things that can be found on the internet.

From my experiences in the "tunnels"
Mickey, Minnie, the seven dwarfs, and almost any shorter character are girls.
Goofy, Tigger, are obviously fairly tale males.
But I certainly saw more girls than guys on any given day.
It was scary seeing waht I saw that first time in the tunnel. A bit of a shock really.

Oh well to the OP, I hope that helps a bit.
