Are Body Wars and Cranium actually gone?

Yes, please!

Took just a few. I couldn't believe what it had turned into. We used to spend a few hours in this place! Very sad.

Prime? :)

The pavilion really didn't change before the closed it. For a good view, watch martin's videos.. he goes through everything. The video is linked earlier in the thread.

Ahh, of course that would be the answer! ;) I think that's what I'll do tomorrow while I'm doing nothing after class!

What I don't get is why would they want to cut back and cut down the amount of features, especially Wonders of Life. As a start the vishion of the future Epcot was displaying is reality and there is nothing to show. Finally they have a new Vishion at Test Track but that will be outsourced someday to. Wonders of Life wasn't the future it was educational and it was a verry fun pavilion. It added a couple of hours of the day and that adds up. The way they used to have tings Future World could turn into a whole day thing and I remember as a kid making a couple of trips to Epcot or at least an extra half day. Now we spend the morning in Future World, Finish the day in Word Showcase and don't come back until the next trip because we don't need as much time there anymore. If I have it right they are loosing money by saving the guests time.

I used to love going to that pavilion and Cranium Command was so funny. Poor Buzzy looks so sad in that photo. :( I really wish they could do something with this area.

This place was so amazing. So much to do. Just like the old Innoventions ... you could spend hours in WOL and come out and it would be dark. I wish someone would have sponsored. Some people complain that Epcot is too educational, but it was so much fun. Its just so sad.

I rode Body Wars on one of its last runs, Christmas 2006. My family and I had no idea that everything was set to close Jan 1, 2007. If I had known, I would have taken a lot of pics inside to preserve the memory.

The sad thing is, we usually skipped WoL because it was relatively boring - Body Wars was cool, but I've ridden it a million times. Plus there is always STar Tours if you really need a sim ride. The rest was ok, but nothing I miss now. Here's to hoping it gets a sponsor and re-themed and upgraded back to a full year pavilion with a Future World theme.

What I don't get is how these attractions are loosing sponsors one by one. I wonder if the poor matenence or something in management is repelling them. I guess you can't blame Met Life for leaving Epcot, the Giants are in much better shape, even the Jets are in better shape and when they are in better shape that's just sad.

Because no matter how good or bad the Giants or Jets do, you are going to hear the words "MetLife Stadium" dozens of times each weekend during football seasons. Every concert is going to have MetLife Stadium on the ticket. When you drive down the Turnpike you see the big blue MetLife logo.

When someone sponsors something at WDW, what do they get? Their name on a plaque? Maybe mentioned once or twice (a la Siemens). Who gets to see it? Only people who paid to get into WDW.

It's pretty hard to justify to stock holders how spending thousands of dollars for a sponsorship in a theme park is spending the money responsibly. The economy has the bulk of the influence in these matters. If the return on investment is measurable then it is worth the risk...if not, it's so long. That type of promotion is almost impossible to measure, therefore, the first thing cut. They almost lost GM when it had to get bailed out, if they hadn't been able to restructure and pay back that money, you can bet that Test Track would be without a sponsor as we speak.

GM's decision to highlight the Chevy brand at the pavilion is, I think, one of the key reasons why it is still hanging in there.
